sohee was listening to the raindrops knocking on her window as she was waiting for a text. she was staring at her phone impatiently. her friend was running late. as usual. sohee was all dressed up, with her hair perfectly styled, her makeup percisely applied. eventhough she didn’t thing going out in the rain was a good idea, she knew they had to utilize every given chance to hang out, as only a few days were left before the schoolyear starts. 

just as she was thinking about it, her phone buzzed slightly. the girl snatched it so quickly, her arm was only a blur. her friend was waiting in front of the house. finally.

the two girls pulled each other into a hug as soon as they saw each other, but they let go pretty quickly. the night was short, and it was still ahead of them. even a little rain couldn’t stop them from making the best out of it.

“so i might try out for the drama club!” announced sohee, in the exact moment they heard excited shouts from one of the nearby rooftops.

there was music playing and fire cracking on the abandoned building’s rooftop. an old sofa, stolen pallets from the store nearby, some random things they gathered over the years, and a makeshift roof against the gentle rain. eight of them were sitting around, enjoying the last days of summer before another school year begins. after school activities will start again: soccer and basketball season, dance crew practices, photo club gatherings, drama club performances, student council assembly, and at last the cherry on top: the rivalry. every schoolyear was a race, a nasty one in which if you got your opponent bloody with broken bones wouldn’t get you off the field. rather the opposite of that, it was benefitial. uncrowned kings thinking they could own something.

chan stood up while crunching the now empty can of coke in his hand; slowly walking into the rain. he felt the raindrops hitting his shoulders, his nose, the top of his head and he looked up at the sky. for a couple of seconds he was thinking, then he turned around and looked at his friends with a bright but mischevious smile.

-i’m a senior this year. - he stated. - i want to go down with a bang. - he dug his hands inside his pockets, he relaxed in the rain as if whatever he was talking about would be a walk in the park for them.

a couple of them let out cheers, others only grinned back at him; but they all thought about the samething as the whole idea seemed to settle in. plans and thoughts raced inside their minds.

we are holding our second cozy saturday this weekend! we are posting ahead of time so hopefully more of you can participate and we can get some of the writing done beforehand!

for our cozy saturday requested by anon

it was almost midnight, but you were barely aware of the time passing, as you were lost in a conversation with changbin. sitting on the ground, your backs leaning against the couch, wrapped in a warm blanket with some snacks which were long gone now, everything seemed to be at place. right until you suddenly ran out of things to say, so for a couple of minutes, you were sitting in silence, but still enjoying the other’s company.

“ah, i’m so hungry” changbin broke the silence, speaking in an indescribably cute voice, even slightly puffing his cheeks, looking at you, almost begging. you couldn’t help but smile at how adorable he looked.

“you know it’s almost midnight, right?” you asked, but you already got up to head to the kitchen. you couldn’t say no to him, especially when acting this cute. 

knowing his little act was successfull, changbin’s face lit up in an instant. and before you noticed it, you were squishing his cheeks, and arms too.

“gosh, you are so adorable.”

-i’m tired. - you sighed as you cuddled even closer to hyunjin. ever since you got home you were clinging onto him like a koala, the warmth of a shower still waiting for you to rinse off the struggles of your day. he hummed in response as one of his hands drew small circles on your back while the other was playing with your hand. 

you both were too lazy and tired to move from the sofa to the bed, still tangled in between the huge blanket and many pillows. he turned onto his side, facing you while he also used the opportunity to hug you tighter. he couldn’t help but smile as you buried your head into his chest - it all felt so right; if only he could just stop time at moments like this.

-you told me you’re tired, princess. but how was your day? - he asked between giving forehead kisses. your brain just wasn’t working as it was supposed to that moment, you ended up mixing up sentences and spitting out gibberish. but itt made him giggle heartily at it. - look at you. - he gently laid his hand on your cheek, stroking it. - you worked so hard today. i’m really proud of you, but you also need to rest. you do know if you rest with me it’s much more effective, right?

you halfheartedly chuckled, almost asleep in his embrace - still on the sofa, it was already dark outside. thankfully none of you turned the lights on before resting, only the tv’s light made the shadows dance around and its faint noise was the only background noise.

before finally letting his tired eyes win over, he let out a soft ‘i love you’ and fell asleep smiling.

it was an unusually slow and eventless saturday. finally having a little time, you and jun decided to spend it together, just watching movies and chilling. and you did just that. 

after a the n-th refill on your popcorn, starting a new movie, casually laying on the couch, in his arms, your head on his chest, tangled in a cozy blanket, everything seemed so perfect. listening to jun’s heartbeat and his soft breathing you tried to pay attention to keep up with what was happening in the movie. but it was harder than you thought, as keeping your eyes open was starting to get harder and harder.

“hey, you have popcorn in you hair.” you heard jun’s voice suddenly from above your head, just when you almost fell asleep.

“then pick it out.” you rather murmure in a sleepy voice. the next thing you noticed were his fingers gently dancing in your hair. 

“there must be a lot of popcorn.” you spoke up again, half asleep, when you noticed that he’d been playing with your hair for a good couple of minutes now. you got no answer from jun. and in that moment, embraced by him, smelling like popcorn and home, feeling as peaceful as ever, you fell asleep, his fingers still lost in your hair.

what is a cozy saturday, you may ask. it is supposed to be a couple of hours of comfort that we would like to share with you. wrap yourself in your favorite blanket, get a coffee, hot chocolate or tea and shut the world out for a bit. we could call it ‘me-time’, but it’s more of an ‘us-time’ really.

what we offer to you through cozy saturday:
