"only those who have organs that can give birth deserve protections from misogyny" is just thinly veiled "a woman's value comes from her ability to give birth"
women who cannot give birth are treated as valueless and unworthy of protection, and thus face much more aggressive misogyny. misogyny is not only faced by women who can give birth. very far from it
I've seen it said that this is true but it doesn't include trans women, and... like, how exactly? our inability to give birth is one of the main arguments as to why we don't deserve protections from misogyny. despite the fact that we face incredible amounts of misogyny
if someone is oppressed by misogyny, they deserve protections from it
I could bring up gender or sex and go "trans women are women, therefore we deserve protections from misogyny," but the thing is: we are women, but what's actually pertinent to this subject is that we are vulnerable to and oppressed by misogyny. no arguments about who's "really" a woman even need to enter the picture
the vulnerable and the oppressed should be protected
if someone is oppressed by misogyny, they deserve protections from it
this might sound weird, but I think it's somewhat a misstep to counter right-wing arguments about trans women with "but trans women are women, therefore we deserve protections from misogyny," because that keeps the whole discussion centered on who "counts" as a woman
does it matter who "counts" as a woman by any definition when reality looks like this?
Hey so my mom stole over $400 worth of my belongings and proceeded to rub that shit in my face afterwards; so any donations I get will be going towards replacing my belongings, finding a way to get away from her, and paying bills at my current residence

Today I wanted to talk about Marlow Trottie. Marlow was a 35 year old Black woman living in Louisiana, whose friends and family described as always having "a smile on her face" and as being "literally the sweetest person Iβve ever met!β, according to Them news' Quispe LΓ³pez.
Marlow Trottie was killed on June 8th 2026. She was found dead, alone, in the streets of Alexandria, Louisiana. It was a homicide.
Marlow Trottie was a woman. Her family has contested this, and publicly misgendered her, and many news sites have already deadnamed and misgendered her as well. I fear what her obituary will say. I fear what her gravestone will say even more.
She joins a growing list of other trans women who have been killed simply for existing. Again from Them news, that list now numbers 11 women from the past 3 months alone.

Mexico amends its constitution to cut the maximum workweek from 48 to 40 hours by 2030 and gives 13.5 million workers the legal right to ignore their bossβs calls, messages, and emails after their shift ends, in the most significant overhaul of Mexican labor law in a generation.
Mexico has rewritten its constitution to guarantee every worker in the country a shorter working week, a legal right to switch off from work after hours, and a guarantee that no employer can cut their pay in response, enacting in a single legislative package a set of labor rights that workers in wealthier countries have spent decades campaigning for without success.
Mexican unions and the Communist Party of Mexico have opposed this 40-hour workday reform, calling it rushed, deceptive and exploitative.
In its current state, the amendment still does not guarantee 2 days of rest (only one). Notably, it increases maximum possible overtime hours from 9 (paid double) to a whopping 12 (paid double) plus 4 (paid triple). With the workweek now 8 hours shorter, employers are incentivized to make use of these 7 additional overtime hours to compensate.
Additionally, the amendment allows an employment contract to define a "flexible" workday. This would allow, for example, a weekly schedule of three workdays lasting 12 hours each (the maximum). Previously, the maximum was 11 hours (8 ordinary, 3 overtime). This could also allow for schedules where certain time windows or activities are excluded from the work day, and thus from the employer's legal responsibilities.
Back in 2025, the CPM had already criticized the reform for being the result of a "dialogue" between all involved parties - excluding workers. In February, unions had already made the above criticisms, and the National Front for 40 Hours had denounced the government's last-minute cancelation of an audience, deceptive claims about supposed consensus, and general rejection of any dialogue.
The Trade Union Workers Section of the Communist Party of Mexico calls for the Mexican working class to reject capitalist counter-reforms, to organize, and to keep fighting for a 35-hour week with 2 days of rest.

It's so obvious that so many of you see racism as just a minor oopsie that causes no material harm. Why are racialized people not allowed to talk about our oppression? Why are we always the ones who have to forgive and rebuild bridges? Why do we have to forget and ignore that so many people don't see us as human beings? Why are we not allowed to be hurt when somebody decided that our centuries of suffering is something to laugh at and make light of? Why are we erased when we express our hurt in order to dismiss it? Why are we obligated to forgive and forget while this system continues to hold a boot on our necks?
No I'm not fucking defending transmisogynistic harassment campaigns or pedojacketing against Gooseworx nor is it ignoring the fact that white transfems get scrutinized more for racism than any other group of white people. I've already fucking talked about this on my blog, and also how a lot of the people talking about a transfem's racism wouldn't give a fuck if they're TME.
That being said, fuck if I'm not pissed that a bunch of people on my dashboard have outed themselves as being unsafe for trans women of color by saying "stop talking about the racism of the TADC cast." There'll never be a "right time" to talk about this. If this was said about any other form of bigotry then y'all would flip your shit. But since it doesn't affect you personally it's perfectly fucking fine I guess. Thanks for abandoning your racialized sisters because you can't take racism seriously.

not to be a joyless hag but I've started seeing genderbent "yuri" shipping Markiplier and Ryan Gosling and I can't help but think of someone I recently I unfollowed for posting that they have an easier time caring about genderbent versions of boy characters than regular fictional women
and I'm also building some connections to that post I made about reading books by Black women (you know the one) and the people who would respond by saying something akin to "joke's on you, I only read fanfic π" as if that were some kind of clever loophole and not a demonstration of the exact thing I was talking about
like yes fandom is about fun or whatever but idk man at what point has your desire for no thoughts head empty uncritical consumption left you splashing around in something that's been blended down to an indistinguishable goo for the sake of avoiding anything remotely challenging. with the thing that's "challenging" here being. you know. giving a shit about women and Black people and like frankly anyone but your shippable white men (and honorary Markiplier).
don't make me tap the five year old teen vogue article, etc

TWO TRANS WOMEN FACING HOMELESSNESS
My roommate and I have until the 14th to scrape together enough money for a place to stay until we can start work in mid-August. My mom is directly responsible for this and there was nothing we could have done to avoid it. We have no family and no friends who are able to take us in or help us. We have a lot of cats we are going to need to get rid of. I do not see any options for us. We are in Northern California. Please contact me if you can help, or just share this post. We have almost no money to our name right now and donations would also help toward temporary housing. Please share if you canβt help. Please

Transgender woman faces two felony charges after drawing a firearm during an altercation.
A Wyoming transgender woman is facing two felony charges after drawing a firearm during an altercation she says began with anti-LGBTQ+ and a
RΓhanna Kelver, a bartender and trans rights advocate in Laramie, has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a deadly weapon with unlawful intent after a 13 September 2025 confrontation outside the Crowbar & Grill, whereshe worked. Kelver could be sentenced to up to 15 years in prison if convicted on both charges.
Kelver says one man in a group of men across the street from her started shouting homophobic and transphobic insults at her before the man allegedly shoved her to the ground in a downtown crosswalk, as reported by The Laramie Reporter.
There's more, as it pertains to Black trans people's right to self-defence:
Despite Wyomingβs βStand Your Groundβ statute, which allows people to use reasonable force in moments of self defense, Kelver faces up to 15 years in prison for both charges, as well as up to $11,000 in fines, per Cowboy State Daily. Kelver faces an additional year and $1,000 fine for a charge of interference with a peace officer. [...]
As pointed out by Slate, self-defense laws are often put into question when people from marginalized communities, especially trans people, use them, including Cece McDonald, a Black trans woman who served time in a menβs prison for defending her friends during a racist and transphobic attack. Ky Peterson, a Black trans man from Georgia, was also arrested and imprisoned for killing his rapist in self-defense.

Okay, real talk now. People love to tag male characters in posts about women, but this post is gonna take this seriously. Is there actually a canonically male character you believe is a trans woman? Or at least has made into a trans woman for a fanart or a fanfic? Excluding the ones canonically implied.
Sound off in the tags! Link to the fanart or fic if available. Do it. Give me the girls. Make more women.
