My name is Maram, I am 25 years old from Gaza. I dreamed of a peaceful life, spending my life with my husband and my three children... but the war turned this dream into an impossible one 💔😭. We lived through this genocide with all its painful details and we are still suffering from it😭. We were so happy when the ceasefire was announced, and we returned to our homes in northern Gaza after being displaced for a year and a half in a tent in the south of the Gaza Strip. After repairing a small room in our destroyed house, we began to live there and start over. Unfortunately, the war came back, and it was even stronger than before 💔. Now, we have no shelter or source of income. We have used up all our savings during the war. I know I created my campaign very late, but that's because I have no other means to help my family 🙏. I am completely confident and hopeful that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these tough circumstances 😔.

I know how painful and frustrating it is to start over from scratch, but I hope to get any amount for my family 🥺🙏.

My friend Mickie (@frivolousfuckery)’s ex-boyfriend is making their life hell. A few days ago, he withheld custody of their child after an agreed-upon swap, and proceeded to file false allegations against them which resulted in the loss of their housing and job.

As of today, he also doesn’t have the baby, because in the process of trying to incriminate Mickie (getting the baby examined at a hospital for a second time), he accidentally incriminated himself — the baby was found to have broken ribs which the baby did not the first time they went to the hospital, and he had custody of the baby the whole time between the two hospital visits.

However, the state won’t give the baby back to Mickie because they are now homeless. So, we need to help them get back on their feet. The first step is that they need $160 by Tuesday, June 23 for a car. Once they have a car, they can look for a job and housing (and of course, they’ll need help affording food etc. until that time).

With a heavy heart, I come to you all with the news announced by close friends of Cat Frazier that she had passed away on Monday, June 29.

She had been running @animatedtext since 2012, with her impact on the internet SHAPING tumblr. If you have a years long history on this site, you’ve seen her art.

She ran a venue in Oakland called Oakland Secret, a punk venue where I’d vend at regularly as an artist. She made a safe space for queer artists, artists of color, and local furs too. I am forever grateful for her work both in the Bay Area creative scene and online, and am forever changed by the totality of her impact.
