There used to be days that I thought I was okay, or at least that I was going to be. We’d be hanging out somewhere and everything would just fit right and I would think ‘it will be okay if it can just be like this forever’ but of course nothing can ever stay just how it is forever

I wonder if I still cross your mind sometimes. Because after all these years, I still think about you on a daily basis. It’s just that you’re my first love and therefore I will never forget you. Even if I tried to forget you, I could never and I like to think that’s something beautiful.

For a wound to heal, you have to clean it out. Again, and again, and again. And this cleaning process stings. The cleaning of a wound hurts. Yes. Healing takes so much work. So much persistence. And so much patience. But every process has an end and an appointed term. Your healing will come… And like all created things, your worldly pain will die. —

I’m inclined to fall in love with any man that calls my handwriting beautiful and says my eyes look like they have roses in them. He will kiss me and taste dirt then he will know that I am from the earth and a garden is growing within me.
