My WIP of Triss’ outfit from the Witcher 3. Also in the pipeline is Ciri’s DLC outfit…

There’s some clipping around the thighs that I’m not sure how I’ll fix, and the big problem is that right now I’ve got no morph states, but all in all… It’s looking good. I mean, that’s an unedited shot with just my reshade and sweetfx and it looks amazing.

No morph states?

Use. The. Frikkin. Mesh. Toolkit.

I will say this until I’m blue in the face: CmarNYC is a GOD. It’s disgusting how easy it is to use this tool.

As for any thigh clipping – I get around that issue by removing the EA legs underneath. ;) I show how here. See?

Hello! You got any tutorials for clothing meshing? Particularly with TSR Workshop (if possible)? :) I am scouring the interwebz with poor success for anything other than texture edits. :(

Lesson #3: Clothes CC: 10 Basics You Should Know

I cannot repeat this enough: I am a converter, not a mesher. People who go around making meshes from scratch have NOTHING but absolute respect from me, I STG, because I just don’t have the frikkin patience for it.

Me? I like to scrounge around in games for ready-made clothes meshes, and tweak them to my liking (and/or limited ability) so we can play with them in TS3. Hence all the Skyrim, Final Fantasy, etc. clothes.

In my travels, I have never come across a start to finish CAS meshing tutorial for simming, let alone one that, as you mentioned, dear Padawan, does not merely show you how to add stencils or do retextures or photoskins.

However, there are tons of tutorials about how to use Milkshape and TSRW, so I hope you’ve brushed up on all of that beforehand, before trying to make your first clothes cc. If not, as I said before: Start smaller. I directed y’all to the tuts that helped ME, and I’m a raging noobtard, so they’re effective! I didn’t start doing clothes cc until maybe 2 years ago, and I still have problems. And I’ve been making CC for like 5 dang years now. It’s not rocket science, no, but it ain’t the ABC’s, either.

Make sure you understand how to import and export .obj and .wso and .dds files. Make sure you know how to make high/low level poly meshes (DirectX Mesh, etc). Make sure you know your alpha channels, multipliers, overlays, and RGB masks. Make sure you have all your programs and tools and plugins in working order (Milkshape/Blender/etc, Gimp/Photoshop, etc). Get the right version of TSRW (I said right, not latest – my version is 2.0.80.0 because I didn’t install the TS4 updates).

You’re good on those fronts? Great! You’re halfway there. ;)

Again: I don’t mesh from scratch. So I can’t tell you much about how to turn a bunch of spheres, cylinders and boxes into the sexiest couture outfit, unfortunately. WRONG simmer to ask! But I can tell you what I DO know.

Happy Simblreen! :D Here’s a shit-ton of stuff converted from Dragon Age: Inquisition for TS3 by yours truly ^____^ have fun!

What’s included: 

Vallaslin: three vallaslin designs for both males and females. Found under the “Blush” section, recolorable. 

Dwarven: 5 dwarven facepaints, for both males and females. Just like the vallaslin set, they can be found under the “Blush” category and are recolorable. The files are separate and the numbering is the same as seen on the preview here, so you can pick and choose the ones you want. 

Elven & Bandits: two graffiti sets with various different designs, on Aikea Guinea’s mesh. Beware, these are NOT RECOLORABLE, except for the bloody handprint. Found under “Decor > Paintings”, they cost §0.

Blood: a set of four recolorable blood stains. Found under “Rugs”, it costs §95. 

Glyphs: Moar magic circles for you guys! :D These are also categorized as rugs and cost the same as the blood overlay. Like the blood overlay and my previously released set of magic circles, they’re recolorable, too ^___^

Iron Bull: as the title says… Iron Bull’s scars converted for TS3. Found under “Blushes”, three recolorable channels. Using a little bit of opacity is recommended when using these (although not mandatory, the scars look pretty nice even with no opacity at all… just a little too defined, maybe). 

All files have been compressorized to save size :D Have fun! ^___^

EA ought to be ASHAMED of themselves, because @crowkeeperthesimmer and @sims3medieval have created MAGIC! A masterpiece! This place is ridiculous, you guys!!

I took these pictures with Tab in Map View, and there’s not a droplet of photoshopping going on, my specs are on medium like they always are (my laptop’s not all that), I don’t have Pets installed so I don’t even know what I’m missing out on, and that’s what the world looks like in my game.

INCREDIBLE.

The dang world’s only in beta – BETA!! – and yet it’s so professionally executed and intricate and detailed – I – y’all – it’s just – I’m frikkin done.
