Captain

All Cindy had was questions. So, so many questions which didn’t seem unusual for anyone here but she probably figured she had more than most. After nagging Tony constantly, he’d given her a laptop and told her to Google everything she wanted to know. So, she at with a laptop typing away and away with anything she could think of. “Huh?!” She looked up, surprised someone had spoke to her. “I would love something to eat. Trying to learn about a new universe and catch up with ten years worth of stuff is hungry work.” Gently, Cindy closed the laptop. “I’m Cindy, by the way.”

Carol couldn’t help but laugh at Cindy’s reaction. She remembered the first time she’d been in a research zone too and couldn’t help but see a younger, confused her in Cindy. She of course had heard about the girl and sympathized with her. Having lost everything about herself at one point she somewhat knew the struggle Cindy had. “I bet.” She nodded before standing up, “Carol. It’s nice to meet you, Cindy.” The warm smile still on her face. “Do you like pizza? We can go somewhere else if you want. I just mostly only know about pizza when I’m in New York. But I’m sure I can find us something else.”

As he worked in the lab across from Carol, creating trick arrows, Clint grinned the second she spoke. “Did you say pizza? I’m in,” he said immediately. “Too lab I didn’t bring Lucky, he would’ve loved to come.” Had Carol ever met his dog? “You think you can fly us there?” He asked, mostly joking, but he was always envious of Thor and Carol’s ability to fly.

Carol rolled her eyes, of course Clint would be down for pizza. She wasn’t sure the man ate anything other than that. Not that she’d had much of a chance to really get to know him, but her memories - briefly - of him, always seemed to involve pizza. “You’re seriously too lazy to walk?” She teased as she stood up from the desk. “We’re walking. If we’re eating pizza we could use the walk.” She headed out of the lab before turning back to Clint. “Who’s Lucky?” Carol’s people skills really could use some work, but hey, at least she’d remembered to ask.
