"Ah, pardon me. Were you looking to buy this specific bread?"

The bread was the rare, seasonal only made bread in the local bakery, crafted with some precision and since it was after the lunch hour, almost half off. Benson wanted it, his siblings wanted it. but there was one left.

Taking her time in looking over the bakery isle, glancing to the breads placed in the display windows, sitting there and tempting whoever walked by; including herself. The smells of each bread mix in together with the rest of the baked goods, and it has Jasmine salivating. Even if these foods do not neccessarily fill her appetite at all. As her index finger was about to point to the last one left, his voice makes her glance his way: "Ah, pardon me. Were you looking to buy this specific bread?"

Her gaze is focused back onto what she was about to ask for. Her displeasure was not hidden at all, her nose scrunching slightly as brows give a little furrow. It does go quick, immediately replaced with a friendly smile (she looked like she was mimicing an owl's pointed look), as if he didn't just inconvience her. She turns halfway to look at him.

“you’re going to have a bruise.”

“it won’t heal if you keep picking at it.”

“you were out for a few days. how are you feeling?”

“absolutely not. you’ll pop your stitches.” 

“take it easy. you’re in rough shape.”

“those pain meds knocked you out.”

“where’d you get that bloody nose?”

“make a fist for me.” 

“where does it hurt?” 

“ow, ow, ow.”

“that’s going to need stitches.”

“shit, that hurts.”

“is it broken?”

“keep ice on it.”

“ouch!” 

“i can’t even look. is it bad? wait, don’t tell me.” 

“you shouldn’t be walking around right now.”

“how am i supposed to sleep with all these bandages?”

“stay in bed and let me look after you.” 

“there, you’re all patched up.” 

“let me help you to your room.”
