It’s very interesting to see how the instruments world works, new products are released everyday and innovations are included. To see how this new products affect the market, the music styles and the musicians techniques is a fascinating experience. As an active musician, in this case as a percussionist and being lucky enough of constantly trying some of the items that are being released, I feel really happy to see how music evolves and with that our playing as well. There are many musicians who will remain out of such innovation and prefer to stick to their traditional products, call it comfortable traditionalism, purism, institutionalism or anything but in my opinion trying new things gives you the opportunity to follow up with the tendencies and understand the constantly changing world. Quality standards change and requirements of such quality also change within the users preferences. Sometimes such users make decisions based on pure publicity, affordability, popular tendencies, etc. The truth is that there is a market for everyone. I enjoy showing new and old stuff in here as it is important to know that there is a world out there filled with ideas, propositions and always new alternatives for us to learn, get inspired and innovative ourselves.
