“That sounds terrible. Though I applaud you for still going through with the audition I would have been so embarrassed though I’m sure you still were too. You never know they may have you back cause you still pulled through it.”

“I wasn’t extremely embarrassed, like.. hey, it happens. If anything, it took everything in me not to stop and laugh. I talked to one of the ladies there and they loved the whole thing, I guess not enough to offer me the gig, but hey! Networking.”

“Wow, I’m so sorry that that’s what had to happen during the audition. I’m sure its happened to other people before too. You’ll have another audition and I’m sure you’ll end up nailing it. 

“I usually do really well! Well.. not really well, or else I’d be farther up the ladder, but I do better than that. It makes for a fun story though!”

“Some kind of luck,” Noah said with a laugh. “I don’t know anything about dancing, you know, but the fact that you kept going has gotta count for something, right? I’m sure some people would have run off crying or something. So hey, maybe you’ll get that call back after all – that is, as long as your dancing didn’t suck,” he added coyly.

“I know right! I’m just the worst.” Carla let out a small groan, shaking her head. “One girl couldn’t take the sight of blood all over my face, so I think I ruined that for her.. I feel terrible about it, I might track her down. Send her a fruit basket - or something.” she sighed, the girl immediately forgotten when Noah came for her dancing. “Hey! Low blow.” A hand reached out to smack his arm lightly, her smile returning quickly since she knew she was a good dancer. 

‘ that was a wild ride from start to finish. ’

“Yeah, true. You got up there, you tried. The blood probably made it more badass.”

“ i don’t know if i can put my entire weight on my toes and walk like a drunk bird the same way you might be able to, but i know how to hold on while some girl at the bar takes me on a ride.       guys aren’t really expected to know how to dance, and if i didn’t already enjoy having a dick, that’s jut one more reason to, yeah? ”

“You really know where to take a conversation, don’t ya? Although I wouldn’t call it walking like a drunk bird, that’s rude. I gotta be honest - you kinda of lost me there, you just keep spewing bullshit, it’s, uh.. getting hard to keep up.” 

     “ oh this is great ! another dancer for jwa ! ” the excitement that was pouring from seong was undeniably seen as zi managed to sway side to side with the biggest smile on zir face. soon enough though; that smile was parting ways as seong came to a realization. “ please do not let jwa know that i told you you should dance with him. he would not like me very much after that. i just think he needs another person to bounce feedback off of since i do not know much about dancing. ”

  ❝ I thought I couldn’t not laugh at that but then i realized that shit probably hurt. Least you stuck with it, that may show them that you aren’t a quitter. ❞

“It’s totally fine. Who am I to stop laughter? I even laughed at myself after. It did hurt though, I must admit. I’m hoping! This was kind of just for fun, more so for the experience, but I’d still love to get a call back. Now, I just gotta wait and ice my face.”

     “ what do you mean you wiped out ? are you a dancer ? ” the glimmer of hope that lingers in the young one’s eyes is surely seen by all that look at zir. “ if you are a dancer you should meet my best friend jwa ! he is a dancer too & he is really good at it. could you both not do a duet dance or something like that ? ”

“ at least you made a memorable impression—– i mean, they probably had dozens of neat, run-of-the-mill routines, and then you come in and spice things up with a little blood. just sayin’, this could all actually work for your benefit. ”

“i’ll happily help you push until you get somewhere if you need. like a pep-talker. something before you go in or something like that. those are good to have, too. good! that would have been so bad if it’d have been broken. you’re welcome, it’s no problem at all.”

“Like a hype-man? Or in this case, hype-woman? I’ve never seen one in dance before, but I’m pretty sure I can figure it out. It would have been the worse, I’m getting sick at the thought of that hospital bill. I really dodged a bullet there.” 

“ i can criticize you, twinkle toes. good job eating shit in front of people who can make or break your future, i’m sure that call back’ll come real soon. ”

“Well.. you’re no fun.  It wasn’t nearly as high stakes as you might think it was, or else I’d be freaking out a lot more. Besides - do you know how to dance? Not as easy as it looks.” 

“you tried! that’s usually what happens, you finally start to get somewhere and feel better about yourself and then you’re stuck in a situation where you completely wipe out. are you okay though?”

“I don’t know how much longer I could stay stuck but I’ll just keep pushing until I make it somewhere. Oh, I’m totally fine! My nose is kind of bruised, but not broken! Thanks for asking.”
