Chill out. Those are the immortal words that Cristian Diaz has lived by and hey, he’s done pretty damn well for himself thus far. Then again, that might have something to do with the fact that he is incredibly, remarkably smart. School was a breeze and college is an obligation but what Cristian really wants is to take his big ideas and his growing list of contacts to the street and build something of his own. You’ve heard of those twenty-something self-made billionaires, right? Well, Cristian might already have the family cash under his belt but the concept is still appealing. Sitting at the back of the class, half-asleep and never bringing anything to write with, Cristian is that guy you would love to hate and yet… Of course sometimes his effortless success and tendency to always be right can be perceived as “annoying” but whatever. He’s right. Minding his own business means that he’s always had a back row seat into everyone else’s drama. They come to him, they rant and they rave and then he decides whether or not he wants to turn their whole life around with a witty, soul-healing phrase: hakuna mata.

Look, worrying is for chumps. Creativity is stamped out when you over-analyse and preparing for presentations you can smash out the water with natural charm and charisma is boring. I know what you’re thinking Upper East Siders, how did someone as laidback as Cristian Diaz ever end up with Powerpoint queen Adriana Ramirez? Well, sometimes chalk and cheese can make it work. For a while. She might have hated his awesome novelty t-shirts and the fact he was never on time but he loved to watch her huff and puff over it. It definitely shouldn’t have worked and it was definitely a mistake and he definitely does not still think about her. Yup, definitely. You might think that dating your boss’ daughter was beyond risky but Cristian worked hard, always got results and even though it was definitely a mistake, he had charmed his way into the Ramirez family’s hearts. He liked to think anyway but it wasn’t too much of an issue considering Adriana had opted to work for her father’s business rivals.

While it’s all in good fun, Cristian does like to win and swapping a few lighthearted, business-related insults with Julian Donovan at conferences is always fun. Another fun thing is watching Julian’s girlfriend (or whatever) Emmeline Fairchild stuff crab cakes into her purse when she thinks no one’s looking at said conferences. Julian and Emmeline also make no sense with him being dull as dishwater and her making that already infamous speech at the Fairchild Ball but it’s a parallel he does not like to dwell on. In other business news, Cristian has also ran into Bass Industries’ presumed heir Chuck Bass more than a few times. Chuck is always doing something and whenever Cristian needs a good laugh or ‘oh em gee’ moment, he just asks the man himself how his week has been. If Cristian is going to be the self-made billionaire he wants to be then his 'controversy’ section on Wikipedia has to be tailored by him. Everyone can check out the links to the party pics of him and Kamal Singh but when it comes to his actual personal life, he wants to keep that personal. Unfortunately, Gossip Girl doesn’t do privacy.
