helloo!! i was thinking of a more angsty req for AE!sunday. how would he react if let s say reader came back on the express really upset (let s say something happened, theyre tired or theyve been reminded of a bad memory whatever) and instead of telling sunday they just simply push him and everyone else away, going as far as to give the cold shoulder and avoid everyone or even locking themselves in another room to calm down. quote sunday immediately panicking cause he thought reader was mad at him and how scared he is when he realizes reader wasnt coming to bed to sleep besides him..
anywayy tysm for reading!! feel free to ignore this if it makes u uncomfy!!♡
It is so tempting for Sunday to go ahead and use his tuning to figure out what's bothering you. Back in Penacony, he would use his powers all the time to check on Robin. Nevertheless, things are different now, and he is much more considerate of people's feelings and privacy. Therefore, he may consult Welt to ask what the best course of action is.
"Mr. Yang, do you know what may have happened?" He asks the next morning, drinking coffee with his senior.
"No, but I do know they wanted privacy," Welt replies quietly. "I think we should let them be for now. Knowing Y/N, they will tell us if they want us to know."
"Um, they didn't come to bed with me last night," Sunday says softly. "You don't think it has anything to do with me, do you? If I did anything wrong, I need to know so I can do better and apologize."
"I'm sure everything is just fine between you two," the senior Express member reassures the Halovian. "These things happen and sometimes it's best to decongest from others. Trust me, they will be back to their usual self and in your arms in no time."
Patience is a virtue Sunday is growing to accept. He decides he should try out some activities he can do alone in the meantime. Thus, he catches up on reading that book you recommended and exploring the Express. He can't help but think of you, though, and his heart starts to ache. All the while, he looks over his shoulder to see if you will join him.
It takes a while, but later that afternoon, Sunday is squarely focused on finding a good song to play on the phonograph. He selects a nice relaxing melody and sits back to enjoy.
"I like that song a lot," a voice announces. He turns and gasps.
"Ah! How are you doing?" He immediately inquires, worried sick over the whole situation.
"I'm doing better, Sunny," you reply calmly as you next to him. "It's just stress, but thanks for giving me space to process things."
"Is there anything more I can do to help?" There's a bit of anxiety in his voice as he hopes your relationship will be okay.
"Maybe this," you hum as you reach over to hug him
Patience certainly is a virtue, Sunday tells himself happily.
