🌻chapter 4🌻
You hate that you find yourself dragging your feet slowly—yet quietly— to Wooyoung’s door. Hoping that the noises you hear from behind it aren’t those of pleasure.
There’s an exchange of them chatting, audible enough to hear but not enough to make out the words. As if snooping like this wasn’t enough, you press the shell of your ear against the door. Using the frame of it to steady your body from making any unnecessary movements or noise.
A rustle. Then several more. You think you hear the sheets move.
They’ve stopped talking.
More silence, then a loud thump onto the floor.
Your heart races out of your chest and you have a hard time picturing what could possibly be going on inside Wooyoung’s room.
Footsteps hurry to the door and before you could get more than halfway down the hall, Wooyoung’s body peeks out from behind his door.
“Snooping on me now?” He scoffs with that annoyingly charming sneer. “I thought we were supposed to stay out of each other’s business? Now look who’s breaking their own rules.”
You shut your eyes tightly while your back faces your ex.
Fuck.
A breath quickly fills your lungs as you turn around in efforts to compose your expressions. You’re somehow confused as to why he was suddenly wearing a shirt.
“I— I was just about to knock and ask you what type of meat you wanted to grill, you idiot.” Your mouth moves faster than your thoughts and you’re so glad that your brain was quick enough to pull something straight out of your ass. “I didn’t want to… interrupt.”
Wooyoung holds the door open slightly for you to catch a small glimpse of the girl politely seated at the edge of his bed. Blinking curiously at you with a content smile on her face, although her tears still stain her cheeks. “It’s not even noon yet y/n, I’m smarter than that to start having rough sex knowing that you’re in the apartment.”
This thought somehow makes your stomach turn and not in a pleasant way. You didn't want to imagine Wooyoung like this with someone else. Yet, an image of him bare and in his sexual glory flashes across your mind and for a second you forget that you aren’t single. You forget that you have a neglectful boyfriend who likes to have sex with you once a week then proceeds to avoid you until the next weekend arrives.
Does Wooyoung have sex often when I’m not around? Did he have to use the word ‘rough’? Do they have rough sex together?—
Why was the thought of Wooyoung having sex with someone else more distressing to you than the entire problem of your boyfriend literally using you as a weekend booty call?
Not a single soul should know why, because the reality of it all is that: One, Wooyoung is single. And two, you are not.
So you had no right to be bothered about it.
Right?
“Uh. Right,” You subconsciously mess with the tips of your fingers to think of what to say next since you didn’t expect that his comment would throw your mind into a loop. “Just text me when you’ve, um, decided what you want. I’ll head to the store now since you’re busy… so you’ve got 20 minutes to make a choice.”
“No need to wait 20 minutes for me to text you, y/n,” Wooyoung slowly pulls his lips into a gentle smile. A smile that sets off a million bursts of fireworks through your chest. “You already know what kind of meat I like to grill.”
Instantly you blink away the feeling—or at least try to ignore it. “People change. Just wanted to ask in case you had a change in taste.”
Wooyoung presses his lips together before nodding his head slowly. Clearly catching your composure and deciding not to point it out due to the guest on his bed. “Uh, nope. My tastes are constant, y/n.”
The worst part of it all is, your conversation was being monitored by a ditsy flower, just waiting for Wooyoung to come back and take care of her… You hated it. Everything about this set up.
Now, heading out of the apartment to get groceries seemed like a much better idea to you than twiddling your thumbs to wait for Wooyoung’s pretty guest to leave.
“I’ll head out then.”
Upon grabbing your purse and your keys, you curse at yourself mentally for getting caught snooping. Even scolding your heart for causing your mind to lose control of your emotions.
************
It had only been half an hour since you left to get ingredients for the meal with Wooyoung, yet a familiar vehicle pulls into the apartment complex parking lot.
A few flights up and your boyfriend is back at the front of your door. Sure to himself that your car has left and that you’d be gone for a while.
San punches in the code of your apartment door. When it opens, a girl stands on the other side peering up at San with a shocked expression.
“Oh hey, It’s y/n boyfriend.” She smiles before turning to Wooyoung who, at the moment, keeps a straight face.
They had finally completed their 30 minute rant session, where she comes to him for help with her loneliness. Which was a topic to talk about for another time since Wooyoung felt like it wasn’t even his place to do it for her— also, considering he’s rejected her multiple times to be something more than her emotional support friend.
He never felt like a new relationship was something he needed.
As far as relationships are concerned, Wooyoung has enough on his plate to deal with considering the ugly truth he’s recently discovered. And of course, his unsettled feelings for his gorgeous ex.
“What are you doing back?” Wooyoung asks San, holding the door open for his emotionally unstable friend.
“Uh, coming to see my girlfriend??” San exchanges an offended glare at Wooyoung.
“Oh, I thought you already had your fill for her last night… What happened? Fell asleep before you could finish the job?” Wooyoung’s words are calm yet sharp like knives. Attacking San with precision as he tilts his head in accusation. “She’s out getting groceries.” He adds.
“You know,” San narrows his eyes, striding to level his face right in front of Wooyoung’s. “You have a lot of nerve thinking you can have any say in our relationship considering you’re her fucking ex.”
“We only broke up because I decided to switch colleges last minute without telling her.” Wooyoung doesn’t back down. He’s aware that his choice was the reason why the two of you broke up and that he should’ve told you sooner he wasn’t going to go to the same college as you guys had planned. “At least I never snuck out of bed after having sex with her.”
San scoffs at the gall. “Don’t act like you fucking know me.”
“I don’t.” Wooyoung shifts his weight and sticks his hands into his jean pockets. “But I know every part of y/n way better than you do. Every. Single. Part.”
San’s hand clenches into a fist and right before he draws it back to swing at Wooyoung. The girl awkwardly standing beside them in the threshold of the door raises her voice. “Hey, as much as I like the drama, I kind of have work so if I can just pass through…”
San doesn’t steer his eyes away from Wooyoung as he takes a step to the side for the girl to get around his body. Too peeved to realize that he was blocking the door.
“…I’ll see you later, Wooyoung. Thanks for helping me out again.” She waves before disappearing into the hall.
San huffs through his nose. It’s upsetting to him that Wooyoung doesn’t even seem the least bit affected by the situation. “Why aren’t you packing your shit? Isn’t this your last week?”
As if his train of thought derails, without even waiting for an answer to his own questions, San pushes past your ex and heads straight into your room.
Looking for what he left so recklessly before sneaking away that morning.
Wooyoung, with his hands still in his pockets, calmly follows San. Watching your boyfriend’s frantic search for whatever he’s misplaced.
Since Wooyoung respects your privacy, he stops right at the entrance of your room. “Did you wait for y/n to leave the apartment?”
“What the fuck are you talking about?” San tosses a pillow off your bed. Not sparing a single glance at your ex.
“I don’t know,” Wooyoung leans against the door. “I mean, if I had something to hide, I guess I’d want to wait until she was gone too.”
San stops completely. His heart drops to his stomach when he turns to your ex standing in front of your room. “What the hell is that supposed to mean?”
Wooyoung shrugs with a playful smirk etching onto his face as one of his hands pulls something out of his right pocket. “You tell me.”
There. What San was looking for.
His phone.
“Where did you find that!?” San yells as he practically dives for it.
“Ah, ah, ah.” Wooyoung shoves it back into his pocket. Placing his hand in front of himself defensively. “Question is, why are you so upset?”
San swallows and processes quickly before clearing his throat. He couldn’t understand why his palms were so sweaty. “It’s—Because it’s fucking mine! Hand it over!”
Wooyoung shakes his head, angling his body away from your boyfriend. “It can’t be yours.”
“Are you fucking mad?” San yells again. Smacking Wooyoung’s arm away from the position he’s guarding his pocket. “Of course, it is. It’s my phone!”
“No, no, no.” Wooyoung’s stupid, playful smile begins to boil hate into San’s veins. “This can’t be your phone.”
“I’ll drop kick that fucking smile off your face, you son of a bitch, give me back my phone!”
“Dude,” Wooyoung chuckles, loving how riled up your shitty boyfriend is getting. “I swear this phone has got to be someone else’s… because when I saw it on the couch, ringing at 4 am, someone named Eunji was calling to ask if her ‘daddy’ was still going to—and I’ll quote her on this, “Rearrange my guts like you always do on Saturday nights.” And you're telling me you’re certain that this is your phone?”
The reality settles into the air and San realizes that he’s been caught cheating on you… by your ex.
This is when Wooyoung’s twisted smirk turns into an angry scowl. He’s disgusted that you found a man so indisputably vile and unloyal.
“You really think you’ll get away with this? Lying to y/n like this and fucking her once every week just to make up for how shitty a person you are?”
San’s gaze falters to the floor and he snatches his phone from the unguarded pocket of Wooyoung’s jeans. “What are you gonna do, huh? Tattle-tail on me?” He shoves it into his back pocket, scoffing. “She’ll never believe you. She hates you.”
“Even if she does,” Wooyoung turns on his heels and enters into his room across the hall. “She’ll wish you were dead after figuring out that you leave her in the mornings just to be in some other woman’s bed the very same night.”
San follows Wooyoung a few steps into the hall. “You wouldn’t dare tell her.” He spits.
An exasperated sigh paired with the front door swinging open, startles the two men away from glaring at one another.
*********
After 30 minutes of shopping, you head home.
The entire time in the parking lot, you were gathering the courage to talk yourself into confidently walking back into your house.
So what if he was having sex? You have sex all the time with San while Wooyoung stays in the room across the hall from yours.
How is coming back home knowing that he’s having fun with a woman be any different?
Equality at its best example for it. You remind yourself as you exit the elevator.
To your dismay, You were unpleasantly greeted by a very voluptuous woman with intruding questions as to why you were going to enter into her boyfriend’s home.
You push past the nuisance at your front door. Sighing as you lazily drop the groceries onto the floor.
You can only assume that this other girl— an entirely different girl compared to the one from this morning—is Wooyoung's little problem.
This boy must be cheating… What a waste. “Taste’s are constant” my ass.
You pray that Wooyoung’s ditsy girl toy from earlier this morning has left. Though you liked witnessing drama, you didn’t want to see two girls fight over your ex. “Wooyoung? I think you have a guest.” You call out as you take off your shoes.
To your surprise, Your boyfriend is staring at you from the hallway— eyes wide and stunned.
Wooyoung steps out of his room to stand in the hall next to San. A flat smile sets on his features as he stares at you and eunji. “I won’t need to…” He seems to be talking to San when he speaks. “Next time, set a better password on your phone. You never know who’ll scroll through your messages and send people your girlfriend’s address.”
This confuses you. Immensely. More so, when San’s face drains of all color.
“Baby! Who the hell is this girl?” Miss voluptuous checks your shoulder as she rushes past you. Headed towards Wooyoung with her arms stretched out.
What rattles your world from it’s axis isn’t that Wooyoung doesn’t hold her, it’s that the girl doesn’t even look at him. She doesn’t even acknowledge that Wooyoung’s standing there.
Instead,
She’s all over your boyfriend. Calling him “baby’ and glaring at you as if you were nothing more than a disgusting insect.
No, no… I must be dreaming.
“Sannie, who the hell is this girl and why is she coming into your apartment?”

🦋Chapter 3🦋
After a long day at work, and a long night with San. You were not expecting to be woken up by his buzzing phone at 8:00AM. Painfully opening your eyes, as you feel his arm over your naked waist, reach for his phone on the small night stand on your side. Once he has it, you feel him shift around behind you. Soon his fingers hitting the clicking keyboard starts to echo in the room, making you want to sigh. You slowly turn around, his eyes are still focused on the screen.
“What is it?”
“Mhh? Oh it’s.. Something for one of my class. The project I told you about last week.”
“Last week? I thought this one was done.. Which is why you couldn’t come over last weekend.” You ask genuinely curious, as it was what he had told you the previous week.
“Yeah, well.. Hum..” He hums lightly as he keeps typing. “Something came up again, sorry..” He locks his phone as you are about to lean in to get a peak. You raise an eyebrow but he just gets closer to kiss your forehead softly. “Raincheck for brunch?” He asks without really getting your answer as he’s already getting out of the bed. You watch him put his clothes on, still not answering him. “Y/N?” He turns around after passing his head through his shirt.
“Raincheck~” A small smile draws itself on your lips and an adorable eye smile shows on his face, making your heart tug in your chest. This time, not entirely sure if it was due to love or.. something else. Something slightly bitter and painful. Maybe it was just due to a long week and having look forward to spending the weekend with San so much.
Once he has all of his stuff packed, he once again leans in to kiss your forehead lightly before swiftly walking out of the room. Soon, you hear the clicking and a slight buzz, indicating that he had left the apartment. This sound had never felt so loud before.
You end up rolling your eyes lightly before letting yourself fall back into your bed. Now that San was gone, there was more space in the bed. Is what you were trying to tell yourself to feel slightly better about the frustrating situation. Suddenly, the thought of Wooyoung realizing that San left early get to your mind.
“He’s not gonna leave me alone, is he..?” You sigh softly before deciding to slowly leave your bed.
Without looking around, you run to the bathroom to start a warm shower. Your body slightly aching due to the previous night with San. As much as you did enjoy it and his presence. You weirdly did not feel satisfied at all. Something felt empty and somewhat even worst than when he had simply canceled last week. Maybe, because you had set your hopes a bit higher this time. Also, maybe, because a very small part of you felt slightly used.
You nervously shake your head. This was not the time to fall into one of those long and deep overthinking showers. After ten minutes, you step out of the shower, putting on comfy clothes to stay in for your Sunday. The simple shower and the small self care routine that you had gone over, was able to boost your energy and it’s with a small smile that you step out of the bathroom feeling refreshed. However, that smile dies really fast when you fall nose to nose with - once again - a shirtless Wooyoung.
“You’re up early~” He coos lightly. “Did mister boyfriend end up getting the Y/N to wake up before 10:30 on a Sunday?” The eye roll was expected at this point. You huff slightly before pushing him out of the way.
Now, how could a simple touch of your knuckles on his bare and warm skin, make you feel something? I mean, how was this very simple and harmless act, make you feel slightly flustered and affected. This felt ridiculous. He observes you making your way to the small kitchen. The feeling of your hands on his torso, affecting him just as much. Making him wonder, why did such a small act make him twitch ever so slightly in his shorts. However, something ‘tings’ in his brain as he watches you reach for the cereal.
“Don’t tell me..” A small amused smile grew on his lips.
“Shut it.”
“He left!”
“Wooyoung..” You turn around slowly with a nervous smile on your lips. For some reason, you felt ashamed that Wooyoung could see you like that. Knowing, little by little, those details about your relationship. Making your hatred for him only more powerful at this point. “I will make you eat all of your shirts, one by one, so you will finally have a fucking reason to walk around half naked, in MY apartment.”
“I don’t know why you’re getting mad at me babe. I’m not the one canceling plans on you~” He says nonchalantly before stepping inside the bathroom.
“I swear if he comes out with only a towel around his hips.. There will be a murder.” You mutter to yourself before getting your small breakfast ready.
But, maybe, Wooyoung wearing actual clothes inside of the apartment when it was just the two of you, was too much to ask. He once again comes out with his signature low hanging towel around his hips. His eyes lazily looking at the door he was closing behind him, while his other hand runs through his damp hair. At this point, it would be just dumb to ignore your obvious attraction to your ex. It can happen, being physically attracted to your ex. It’s only normal, right? There was nothing wrong with that, just as long as nothing was to happen between the two of us.
Before you know it, he is standing right in front of you, his eyes observing you. It feels like you should look away and ignore him, but there’s something. The way he slightly quirks his eyebrow, looking down at the small shorts and very light top you’re wearing. It felt comical to him that you would complain about him wearing so little when you were walking around looking like that. He slightly licks his lips, feeling himself twitch under his towel. As much as he was affected by the view, you hated to admit to yourself that you could feel yourself get wet. Your eyes naturally end up going down to his lips, then down further, letting his chest until—
“You’re staring dumdumb.” He hums lightly, pleased with the slight blush on your cheeks.
“Am not..” You turn around directly, going back to the fridge to put the milk back. As you’re about to step back to close the fridge, you feel his bareback press against your barely covered back. His arm resting on the door above yours and the other one reaching for the milk inside of the fridge.
“I need that.” He says lowly against your ear when you feel it.
Something poking you, against your thigh. You feel your throat tighten at the feeling of his hardening length against you. For a second, the both of you forget what you are to one another. You naturally press back as he softly pushes against you. After swallowing thickly and feeling a buzz between your legs you have not felt in a while, you snap back to reality. Pushing him away so you can step out of his arms that had you caged in.
“You could have waited for me to be out of the way.. Or ask me. I don’t know..” You mumble and he smiles a bit amused.
“It’s fine, I got it~” You nod barely acknowledging him before almost running back to your room. Pressing your back to the door the moment you close the door. Your cheeks were violently flushed red and it felt like you could finally get your breath back.
“What the fuuuck..” You whisper to yourself in a mix of pure panic and slight excitation. Why was your core buzzing so nicely? “Fuck.. fuck, fuck, noo..” Your hands rubbing your face, trying to maybe wake you up from whatever this was.
*Knock knock knock*
“Y/N? Are you ok?” A long sigh leaves your lips before deciding to blatantly lie.
“I don’t feel so good, please leave me alone.”
“Oh.. Ok, yeah.” He simply hums before you can hear him walking away.
For some reason, there was a slight pinching in your heart. It was guilt, that you knew for sure. But you were not sure if it was due to what happened by the fridge or due to the way you just pushed Wooyoung away.
Sadly, this heart pinch was far from going away and letting you live peacefully. Not when San cancelling on you was starting to get… more and more normal. It became a routine for him to come on Friday nights to, essentially, just have sex with you. Then, leave in the morning. Even letting you sleep on the side next to the wall so he did not wake you up as he left the bed. Every time leaving you with Wooyoung giving you questioning looks and slightly amused smiles.
This morning was no different. Once again, San had left earlier that morning, not even bothering to give a valid excuse as you watched him almost sneak out of your room. Now, you have to sit, eating your cereal in front of a smiling and shirtless Wooyoung. You instinctively roll your eyes, already ready for him to poke his nose where it doesn’t belong like he does best.
“How are things with San?”
“Good.” He hums simply in response instead of the usual teasing about how he never stays for the day after sleeping over. Insisting that it was just “weird”.
“What do you want to do today?”
“Excuse me what?”
“I don’t know, I’m just asking.. If you want to do something today. I mean, with San canceling on you again, you’re most likely free right?” He smiles at you and you clench your teeth together.
“If it’s for you to just stick your nose in my business and make fun of my relationship. I will pass, thank you..” You almost hiss at him, making him laugh.
“I don’t do that.” He scoffs and you can’t help but to roll your eyes. “I just thought why not. You know, because it’s my last week living here with you, so..” You raise an eyebrow at his comment.
That’s right, he was supposed to only stay for a month. It had felt like such a long time when he first told you, but now.. Weirdly enough, there’s a small part of you that wishes he could have stayed longer?
“We’re not friends like that..”
“No, but we’re still roommates. How about tonight I’ll make you dinner?” He raises an eyebrow and you end up pursing your lips together. Wooyoung knew just how much you loved it when he used to come over to cook for you.
“Well..”
“I have a grill, we can grill meat.” You could already feel yourself salivate.
“O-Ok fine.”
“Perfect! Then, I just have a few things to do this morning but, you’ll come with me to the store later today right?”
“Yeah su--”
*Knock Knock Knock*
The door knocks heavily, making you both turn your heads towards it. You look at Wooyoung and he gives you an interrogating look.
“You expecting someone?” You shake your head at his question.
“No, you?”
“Mhm.” He says no as he stands up to go open the door. The moment he turns the handle, the door flies open to a crying girl.
“Oh my god!! Wooyoung!!” She jumps into his arms, nuzzling her face into his naked torso.
Your heart clenches uncomfortably and your teeth clenches at the view. Any doubt of jealousy was out the window. You wish this girl could get off of Wooyoung this instant. The moment she looks up, you recognize her. She was the girl that had come over that one night when they were watching a movie.
“Wha--What’s wrong?” He asks furrowing his eyebrows.
“My roommate keeps on inviting her boyfriend over and just ugh. I’m so sick of it and--” She looks back up towards me before leaning into Wooyoung’s arms again. “Can we go to your room?” She whispers even though you could obviously hear her.
You instinctively roll your eyes as Wooyoung nods yes. She takes his hand in hers and takes him to his room. While she gives you an interesting look, Wooyoung mouths a small ‘sorry’ while being dragged by her. You purse your lips lightly in response. As much as this was annoying, now a bigger problem was arising. Seeing this girl hug Wooyoung, made your heart clench more than San’s new habit of coming over just for sex. Seeing your ex being hugged by a random girl was actually more hurtful than your own boyfriend’s weird behavior towards you. There was no more denying this to yourself now.
There’s an exceptional amount of control that you have to conjure not to lose your mind. One, San hasn’t replied to your texts. Two, you’ve just been told that you're working a double shift tonight. And three, wooyoung’s blasting his loud music in the shower again.
Yunho chuckles as he watches you breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. “Remember, you're the one who decided to let the man live here.”
After storing away your phone, you shift out of the kitchen stool and open the fridge. “Don’t you have somewhere else to be?”
“Right here. Enjoying you losing your mind over your ex- whom I will remind you- doesn’t seem to mind that he can simply flaunt his body in front of you all the time.”
“I’m not losing my mind.”
“Oh really?” Yunho humors the thought.
“He’s just being annoying, you know how he’s like.”
“Wasn’t that the reason why you guys started dating in the first place?” Yunho picks at the fruit on the counter. “He annoyed you so much to the point of charming those panties off you?”
“Okay. You seriously need to find a better way of spending your free time.”
Your best friend shrugs before nodding his head at the hallway. “Hey, the man of the hour. You done performing?”
Wooyoung laughs, sporting his signature look of a loosely wrapped towel over his toned hips. “Was I that loud?”
Yunho nods with a smirk on his face. “Pretty loud.”
“What did I tell you about the water?”
“Oh, that you’d charge me double?” Wooyoung lifts a brow. “Go ahead. Might be better for you to join me instead of complaining all the time.”
Yunho snorts and snaps his head back at you to catch your reaction. Clearly loving this display of banter.
“I told you I have a boyfriend, Wooyoung.”
“And if you didn’t, y/n, would that change your answer?”
Yunho pops another grape into his mouth, propping his chin up with his hands.
“...No.” You shut the fridge. “It wouldn’t change my answer, Wooyoung. Now go change.”
Wooyoung saluts to you before turning on his heels. “Yes ma’am.”
It’s silent by the time Wooyoung entered back into his room. God, he was infuriatingly hot.
Yunho claps enthusiastically to himself as he laughs. “God, you guys are hilarious.”
“I’m gonna start charging you for hanging out at my place from now on.”
“You and your love for money.”
********
Surprisingly, the day goes by fast and Yunho decides to leave a couple of hours before you get ready to start your shift.
There’s a knock at your door and you’re shocked to see that Wooyoung’s actually dressed. A white shirt paired with some black shorts. “Hey so, I’m having someone over tonight if that’s okay with you.”
“Even if I told you no, I think you would do it anyway.” You finish putting on your favorite lip stain to touch up the last of your makeup.
“Not true. At least I’m letting you know.” Wooyoung leans against the door frame. “I’m not a complete dick, y/n.”
You can't help but feel your heartbeat a little rapidly in response to every time he says your name. This thought makes you shake your head and turn to him. “If you stay out of my business, I’ll stay out of yours.” You start slipping on your socks. “Have whoever you want over, just make sure you guys don’t set the apartment on fire while I’m gone.”
“Noted.” Wooyoung doesn’t leave the entrance of your room and just watches you get your shoes on.
“Can I help you?”
“Why haven’t I seen this boyfriend of yours?” You expect his tone to be demeaning but from the expression on his face you can definitely tell that he’s just being curious. “Does he not like that I live here with you?”
You’re reminded of the unread messages that you’ve sent San today and can’t help the tightening in your chest. “He’s just busy lately. San usually stays the night on weekends.”
“Oh,” Wooyoung lifts his wrist up to look at the face of his apple watch. “Guess you’re looking forward to tomorrow then?”
You hadn’t realised that the week was already coming to a close. Friday was tomorrow and San should be coming to stay over. But considering the last phone call with San was to tell him that your ex would be living with you temporarily, you aren’t sure what to expect. Maybe San’s uneasy over the topic is causing him to need a little time to think about how to talk about it with you. Or worse, he didn’t spare the time to care about it at all…You doubted it though. San’s been good to you. Really good to you.
He hasnt given you a reason to doubt his love for you.
“Of course, I am.” You stand and grab your bag. “He’s my boyfriend.”
Wooyoung presses his perfect lips together, slowly nodding his head.
“You got anything else you wanna ask?”
“Nope.” Your ex pushes off of the door frame and heads back towards his room. “Have a great shift, y/n. I’ll see you when you get back.”
You don’t get why you feel comforted by those words. Those familiar words that used to make you feel nothing but warm and fuzzy inside. Though, now that it’s a thing of the past, there’s more fuzz in your head rather than in your heart.
Work was no better. The offices were flooded with students complaining about their new semester schedules and you swear one more complaint about how slow the process was, you were near tears with the amount of hours you still had left until you head back home.
“Could you possibly move any slower, sweetheart?”
A man leans over the counter and you try to keep your best customer service tone of voice. These underclassmen were bold this year. “As you can tell Mr….” You read his paperwork and scoff. “Choi Jongho, I’ve been working in this section for a while and the line seems to be getting longer each passing minute. So if you aren’t satisfied with my work, you can fix your class schedule later in the semester when this line finally dies down and when you’ve wasted your time flirting with the rest of the staff.” Your smile doesn’t meet your eyes as you start to slide the paperwork back to the younger man.
Jongho adjusts his backpack strap over his shoulders before clearing his throat. “Gosh, it seems like you’ve had a long day.” He shifts on his feet. “My bad, miss. Take your time, I’d hate to come back and have you throw me to the back.”
You keep your eyes on him as you bring the paperwork back in front of you. “So what seems to be the problem, Mr. Choi?”
“I’m enrolled in two classes that overlap in my schedule.”
“That’s a quick fix.” You move your fingers over the keys and find a couple of classes for him to choose from. “There. You’re good to go. Oh and next time,”
Jongho tilts his head.
“Make sure to flirt with the other girls, I’m sure they’d be flattered to have some attractive under class men give them the time of day.”
And with a smile, Jongho heads into the hallway and leaves your sight.
All in a day's work. Getting your mind off of how badly you just wanted to see San.
***********
You expect San’s car to be parked out somewhere in the complex lot but to your dismay, it wasn’t. He did text you towards the end of your shift so you open your phone to re-read it.
[Text from San💕: Hi baby. Sorry I haven’t texted. I’ve been busy with this project, I barely have time to think for myself. Is it still okay to come by tonight? ]
When you get to the elevator you’re starting to type your response. [Text to San💕: No worries! I’m actually almost home so I’ll look forward to seeing you later, babe~ ]
The automatic doors whirl open and when you stare down the hall, someone familiar stands at the entrance of your apartment. Knocking on the door.
“San?” You can’t stop the smile spreading on your face as you catch sight of the small handful of flowers bundled in his hand.
“Baby!” San returns a surprised smile before opening his arms for you to welcome him with a hug.
All of your insecurities and worries instantly melt as you walk to your boyfriend. Wrapping him in your arms. “You’re too sweet. Are those for me?”
“I parked in the back parking lot to make sure you couldn’t see me. And…” San eyes squint in joy as he holds the flowers between the two of you. “I thought you could use a little more color in your room.”
“Actually, I think I could use a little more than just…” You trail your hands up the line of muscles over his arm, then to his toned chest. “Color inside of my room…”
Your boyfriend’s smile changes in shape as the corners of his lips turn into a seductive smirk. “Oh you think so?”
“Am I interrupting something?”
You turn your head and immediately frown.
Wooyoung’s face is tilted with an amused expression while he holds the front door open. Clearly intruding in your moment with San.
“Hardly.” San scoffs.
“You must be the boyfriend.” His tone is flat and seemingly uninterested.
“And you must be the Ex.”
“In the flesh.” Wooyoung winks, opening the door further. “You guys coming inside or do my friends need to wait until the morning to head home?”
“We were just heading in, can you move now?” You take the flowers and hand your bag to San.
Wooyoung takes a step back and leaves room for you guys to enter. He doesn’t seem to hide the fact that he’s eyeing San up and down.
For some reason it makes you more conscious about having these two men in the same room so you conclude to yourself that you want to keep them away from each other as much as you could manage.
In the living room, there's a girl and another guy seated next to each other. They seem to be friendly enough to wave so you smile at them despite not knowing who these people were. Wooyoung wouldn’t bring crazy people over… right?
San heads to the kitchen to fetch a vase from under the sink. Filling it halfway with water. “Baby, did you want to go anywhere in the morning?”
Wooyoung chuckles as he grabs the remote to take a seat on the couch. “You should know by now that y/n hates waking up in the mornings to do things.”
“I can wake up in the mornings just fine, Wooyoung.”
“Not when you used to sleep with me.” Wooyoung mutters under his breath.
“Wanna say that a little louder?” You tilt your head, curious, since you couldn’t hear what he was saying over the sound of San the running water.
“Don’t worry about it, y/n. I was just commenting on the movie. Relax.” Wooyoung playfully nudges the girl next to him and she rolls her eyes. Knowing that she heard him loud and clear.
“You have such a nicely decorated apartment by the way.” The girl tips her head back and gives you a friendly grin.
“Thank you,” You smile at the girl. Sort of wondering what kind of relationship she could have with Wooyoung, even though it was none of your business to care. “My boyfriend helped me decorate.”
Wooyoung huffs out of his nose.
“So is it a pass on breakfast tomorrow?” San places the vase on the dining table, taking your flowers and carefully setting them beside the glass to prep them later. “We can go for a late brunch.”
You can tell that Wooyoung’s entirely amused by this and what annoys you the most is that you don’t even have to see his face to know that he’s smirking from this exchange.
“We can do brunch.” You slowly raise your voice for the next part of your sentence. Walking over to your boyfriend to give him a slow kiss. “I have a feeling I won't be up till later.”
San’s laugh comes out with a huff and his eyes dart to the door of your room. “I’m gonna hop in the shower, baby.”
The three people watching tv in your living room are too caught up in their movie to care about what’s going on between the two of you— at least 2 of them don’t seem to care. On the other hand, Wooyoung’s jaw tenses and he wishes that he wasn’t so focused on your conversation.
“I’ll follow you in after I trim the stems of the flowers you got for me, babe.”
San places a kiss to your lips before giving your ass a light tap. “‘Don’t keep me waiting~”

Ahhh I'm so happy you two decided to make a joint blog😭I love both of you sm 💗
Also, are you accepting requests yet? If you are, could I request a Minghao fluff/angst where the reader is kinda close friends with Chan or Vernon, and Minghao likes them, but thinks they have a thing going with Chan/Vernon. And even tho reader actually likes Minghao, they don't want to admit it? Prolly bc they're too scared of relationships bc they're somewhat anti-romantic? (I can't thank TXT enough for finally giving a label to my condition😅). And it just creates a lot of confusion since Minghao misunderstands and gets jealous even tho Chan/Vernon are just trying help? Sth like that lol
First of all, thank you so much!! It made us really happy and we're glad that our little collab project makes you happy love 💕🌼
And we're more than happy to accept your request. As per the main masterlist, you can see that Yale🦋is the one writing for seventeen, so I will be taking care of it :] I can't wait to write it it sounds like a lot of fun~
synopsis: just as you thought that wooyoung was rid from your life, he's back and worse than ever. always in your business, annoying you to the point of hatred, and constantly finding ways to ruin your love life. if being forced into living with him wasn't the icing on the cake—it's the fact that he still refuses to be dressed while roaming around the apartment.
“So.. What do you want?” You sigh lightly at the grinning boy in front of you.
“You don’t have to be so.. rude Y/N. Oh my god..” He acts shocked, holding onto his chest. You roll your eyes at the guy’s antics once again today. “I have a huge favor to ask you~”
“Yeah?”
“Are you still looking to fill up your spare room?”
You burst into laughter, making him lose his smile real quick at how funny you thought this was.
“Yeah, right, that’s not happening Wooyoung.” You coo at him with a full grin on your lips. Now you were the one smiling.
“Let me finish please. It’s not gonna be permanent. I just need a place to stay for like.. a month.”
“A month?”
“You won’t even know I’m here, seriously.”
“I doubt that Wooyoung.” You scoff, knowing this man was louder than a hyper 5 years old kid, but you were also curious about his situation. “Why? What’s wrong with your apartment?”
“So funny story I guess? We have.. well, we have black mold.”
“Eww, that’s actually disgusting..”
“It’s not my fault!!”
“Pffyeaah right.”
“It really isn’t!! It’s the air evacuation system that’s not working in our bathroom. It’s not just our place you know. Our old building is being closed down for the next month.” You furrow your eyebrows together, sighing deeply. “You won’t even know I’m here. Please Y/N..”
“There’s no way in hell that I will let you—“
---
“And then I said yes, that he could stay..”
“Ohh.. Well that’s not good.” Your best friend laughs deeply as he watches you make cookies from the kitchen island.
“I’m aware, Yunho.. Now let me go and explain that to San.” You clench your teeth just at the thought of letting your boyfriend know that you accepted your ex to live with you for the next month.
“I don’t think he’s gonna care. Isn’t he friends with Wooyoung.”
“Yeah..”
“Yeah, so he knows you hate him. If it’s only for a month, he’s not gonna care.”
“Right.” You sigh once again today. It felt weirdly tiring for a Saturday.
“Speaking of.. How are things going with him?”
“San? I mean, things are ok.”
“That good huh?” He chuckles lowly making you smile softly.
“Well, I like it like that. I really do like him, and it’s a change from how hectic things were with Wooyoung.”
“Right.” He raises his eyebrows with a pinched smile.
“Why are you making this face?”
“What face?”
“The face you make when you think I’m bullshitting.”
“You already know what I think.”
“Huh?” You squint your eyes at him, because yes you knew what he was going to say next.
“I just.. have this feeling that you were happier with Wooyoung, is all.”
“Ugh, there’s no way.”
“You definitely smiled more and complained less.”
“That’s just not true.”
“Sure~”
“Stop doing that!!” You throw the closest thing to your hand at him, which thankfully happens to be a kitchen towel. His laugh once again fills up the apartment, when suddenly the door knocks heavily. “Mhh? San?” You look up to Yunho with a questioning look.
“I thought you told me he had a project to work on today.”
“That’s what he told me.” You walk up to the door, opening it slowly.
“Hello beaut—“ And close it right away.
“Did you just close the door on his face?”
“I did..”
“Why?”
“Why not?”
“You’re the one that said yes for him to live here.” Yunho gives you a confused look and you purse your lips together.
“I wasn’t prepared, wait..”
“Y/N?” You hear him from the other side of the door before letting out a long sigh. Yunho comes up to you with an amused laugh leaving his lips as he opens the door.
“Hey.”
“Yunho? Do you live here too?” He smiles at the giant, excited to see him after a while.
“Almost.” He chuckles letting Wooyoung come in.
“This is gonna be fun.”
“Mhh..” You mumble before walking back into the kitchen.
“Do you guys think you could help me bring some of my stuff up?” He asks politely as he brings in two huge suitcases from the hallway.
“Are you completely moving in?” Your head pops back out from the kitchen, squinting your eyes at him.
“Not entirely, but I do still have a few things to bring up.”
“I’ll go get it. Y/N’s making us cookies~” Yunho smiles as he starts to put his shoes on.
“Correction! I’m making myself cookies.”
“Nice, I love your cookies!” Wooyoung smiles as he looks around trying to figure out which room is supposed to be his.
“That’s my room..” You let him know as he peaks inside your door. “Yours is this one.” You point to the door on the opposite side of the apartment.
“Thanks, loser.” He smiles at you, making you roll your eyes.
Today was supposed to be relaxing. Spending the afternoon with Yunho and maybe complaining about Wooyoung having to live with you. But you didn’t expect him to show up literally a day after having that conversation. Yunho helped him move in and you finished your cookies, making sure that Wooyoung could not have a taste. Which ended up being a bigger effort than just letting him have one.
However, besides all of your mumbling and horrible mood. The afternoon ends up going by rather fast. Yunho was able to make the atmosphere a bit more livable with his puppy like personality. Before going to bed, you called San who was able to make some time for you, letting him know everything that happened. Just like Yunho predicted, he did not mind at all about Wooyoung living with you for a month. Which weirdly enough, made your chest pinch a little at the lack of care over the issue. Not even asking if you were uncomfortable about the situation or offering you to stay over at his place for the next month.
You sigh heavily, looking at the ceiling of your room. You’ve been in bed for hours and for some reason, sleep does not seem to be coming anytime soon. The idea of having Wooyoung not even two doors away from you kept you wide awake. After twisting and turning, you slowly leave your bed. The alarm clock on the nightstand indicates ‘3:45AM’.
“Seriously?” A long sigh leaves your lips. For some reason, you seem to sigh more often now that Wooyoung is back in your life.
As you open your door after deciding to go get something to snack on. The first thing you see is a shirtless Wooyoung, with a loose towel hanging around his hips. He’s gulping down a bottle of milk, which - and you hate to admit it - makes his jawline pop out and his neck look a bit too good. Before you know it, you were swallowing thickly and maybe staring a bit too much. The only light on him being the one from the fridge made him look—
“Y/N? You ok?” He gives you a confused look as his veiny hand comes up to wipe his mouth.
“In case you forgot, you’re not living by yourself..” You hiss at him while walking up to the kitchen.
“It’s 4:00AM, I just figured you’d be asleep my bad.”
“Still.. And who the fuck takes a shower at that time?”
“I don’t know, I just wanted to.”
“I’ll charge you double for water.” You take the snacks that you needed before walking back to your room, leaving him standing in front of the fridge. “And close the damn fridge!!! I’ll charge you double for electricity too!” The sound of your door closing resonates in the apartment.
“Y-Yes, jeez..” He sighs after putting the milk back in and closing the fridge.

The weekends used to be your favorite. You got to stay in, usually advanced in your work for school, and San would come over to stay the night. However, the past few weekends, not only has he been canceling on you but now you had to deal with Wooyoung being around. Now, you were sitting on the couch trying to relax a little. Mainly watching TV to try and forget the image that had been stuck in your head of Wooyoung. The towel hanging low, showing his hips. The overall familiar body makes you swallow thickly as the show in front of you becomes background noises. Those hips that you used to straddle and ride. Your eyes flutter close, taking in a deep breath as you feel your panties slightly get wet.
“Y/N? Are you falling asleep on the couch that early?” Your eyes snap open about to spit something back at your new roommate but the view makes you stutter. He’s casually taking a bowl of cereal before sitting at the kitchen island acting as if he was just not half naked at the moment.
“Wooyoung..”
“Yes?” He looks up with a small smile.
“Do you just plan on walking around half naked all the time? Can’t you wear a fucking shirt?” Your voice becomes snappy towards the end and the glare in your eyes almost makes him shudder.
“Half naked? I’m wearing shorts!”
“What about your shirt???”
“Why are you being so stuck up about it. You used to love my body..” He mumbles the last part with a small pout.
“You’re actually unbelievable. In case you forgot, we are not together anymore and I am dating someone else. So I am in no way--”
“Oh right!! I heard about that. San, right?”
“Huh?”
“Is he treating you right?” He hums lightly and it makes you raise an eyebrow confused. You purse your lips and roll your eyes.
“He is, yes.”
“Mhh?” He didn’t say anything on the spot, knowing that you would just roll your eyes and tell him off.
But whether you wanted to or not, Wooyoung knew you really well. He knew that you were lying. The way the side of your lips perked up ever so slightly. Weirdly enough, it made his stomach turn and his heart twist knowing that you were with someone that either did not treat you right, or did not make you happy. He ends up humming lightly before displaying another small smile.
“Probably not as good as me though~”
“As good as you? So far, I’m with him and you are my ex, so..” He perks an eyebrow at my answer.
“Right, then. Why did we break up? So maybe you can watch out for that with this San.” He gives you a teasing smile and your cheeks burn up with rage.
“My relationship with San.. Is none of your business.” You end up leaving the couch to walk to your room. “Wear clothes when you’re outside of your room.” The snappy words leave your lips right before closing your door, leaving him alone in the living room.
As much as you wanted to put your anger and rage on Wooyoung’s behavior. Besides not wearing a shirt, he did nothing wrong. Just admitting that to yourself made you even angrier. You run your hands through your hair, cursing at yourself for getting turned on just by him walking around without a shirt. You felt pathetic to fall for his charms so easily when you hated him so much. Especially after such a break up--
“Right.. Why did we break up again?” The realization hits you a bit harder than you expected. For some reason, after the break up, you had harbored a hatred for your ex while he just thought that teasing you at all times was the funniest thing in the world. But now, you’re not even sure why and how all of that was triggered. What made you guys fall apart again?
You shake your head lightly before walking up to your phone, just hoping that San had sent a message or just anything. All there was, was a message from Yunho asking how things were going with Wooyoung, and a random meme Wooyoung sent you literally seconds ago.
