The pain you felt was unbearable. It felt like your whole body was on fire; every part of your being was burning from the inside out, but you couldnât scream. You opened your eyes through the pain and found yourself staring at the night sky. In the distance sirens screamed and you remembered what was going on. You had been driving and a car hit you head on, your car had then rolled resulting in you flying through the wind shield.  The glass was scattered around, gnash in your side and stomach your blood was pooling around you. You felt your eyes beginning close, but before they did you saw a figure clad in black step toward you, his blood red eyes piercing through your soul, and you then were taken by the darkness of unconsciousness.
The next time you opened your eyes you were in a hospital room, your ex-boyfriend, Seungcheol asleep in the bed side chair. You set up slowly, your body stiff and groaning in protest. Seungcheolâs eyes opened automatically and the sound of your movement.
âHey,â he grumbled rubbing his sleep deprived eyes, âhow are you feeling?â You looked at him and could see the dark circles under his eyes. He hadnât left the hospital the whole time you were in deep slumber.
âGood, just sore and light headed. What happened exactly?â You felt different, your heart beat was beating so fast the monitor went off.
âWell, that for one thing,â Seungcheol mumbled, âyou shouldnât be alive, Y/n, the injuries you sustained wouldâve killed any normal person, and your heart beat is beating way too fast, 154 beats per minute is pretty highâŚâ he ran his fingers through his hair before looking at you.
âWhat about the other person?â
âTheir body wasnât found.â He sighed and got up, âIâll go get you some food stay here.â Seungcheol said before slipping out the door. You set there thinking everything over that he said. You should be dead, and youâre not, but how. When you tried to remember the black clad figure your head started to pound, and you felt light headed. Who was it and what had they done to you?
The next few days went by in a blur to you. The nurse would come in, check your IV and monitor ask if you were comfortable, and took away your uneaten food. You didnât have an appetite anymore, and your chest constantly hurt. The Doctor who was supposed to check you was out of the country and wouldnât come back until the following day. Seungcheol didnât come around much, and you were both glad and hurt. Not because you still loved him but because he had been your best friend since forever and once you broke up he had left you for his new girlfriend. Throughout the night you had strange dreams. One was you running through a cemetery wearing a wedding gown, a black wolf running after you, but when you fell the wolf had turned into the figure and his blood red eyes awoke you from your sleep. You couldnât fall back to sleep after that, the red eyes were still glued into your mind and you felt alone, and terrified. Â When the morning finally came the nurse came in as usual except there was another person with her. He wore a lab coat, and gave a small smile which made your heart flutter.
âMiss Y/L/N, correct?â He asked you, his voice like warm honey tea. You nodded softy and for some reason you couldnât take your eyes off him; you felt safe, secure and unbroken.
âMy name is Dr. Lee or you can call me Jihoon if you like,â he went over to the sink in the room and began to wash his hands.
âThe nurses say you havenât been eating, and your heart beat is irregular?â
âWell I havenât been hungry to be honestâŚand my heart seems to be kind of crazy,â you said watching him as he walked to your bed. He then unwrapped the stethoscope from his neck and laid the end on your back.
âDeep breath in, deep breath out.â You did has you were instructed and he listened for a moment.
âNurse Oh, please go get Nurse Kim,â he smiled at the nurse and she bowed before leaving the room. You looked at him as he set in the chair by your bed. A smirk forming on his soft pink lips. Right when you opened your mouth a male nurse came into the room, and he looked at Jihoon before looking at you and sighed.
âSo this is the one? Have you performed the Blood Kiss?â he asked while closing the door and locking it. You were completely confused as to what was going on.
âYes, Mingyu this is her and no not yet. I told you he was the one who did this because he knows she is the one for me.â You swung your legs over the side of the bed to stand up but when you did your body started to fall. Jihoon grabbed you before you could hit the floor. His face only inches from yours, you could see the tiny specks of red in his eyes and panic rose in you. Your heart quickened and you felt the blood rush to your face. Jihoon watched you closely taking in every little detail about you. The way you still smelt of vanilla and chocolate even if youâve been in the hospital for almost a week; the way your eyes still had that sparkle, which made his undead heart flutter and jump. You were his and no one elseâs. His fangs started to extract from his gums and you found yourself mesmerized by it.
âY/n, itâs the only way I can make you mine and not his,â Jihoon said as he moved his mouth quicker to your neck. You shut your eyes tightly waiting to feel the pain on your neck where his fangs would pierce your skin but it never came. You opened your eyes to find Jihoon glaring across the room. You followed his gaze to the person who was crouching on the floor in front of the now opened window. He was extremely beautiful; his hair fell to his shoulders as he stood up. Jihoonâs grip tightened on your waist as he stared at the person.
âHello Jeonghan,â he growled through gritted teeth. The other boy smirked, showing his pearly white fangs before he did a dramatic bow.
âHello Brother, and my dearest fiancĂŠe, Y/n,â Jeonghan said, his voice sending shivers down your body. Mingyu stepped in front of you, blocking you from Jeonghan, who just laughed and looked at the taller boy.
âI see you still have the mutt around as a guard dog, Brother. I suppose some things never change, âJeonghan set on the edge of the hospital bed, crossed his legs and flashed you another toothy smile. You heart fluttered with fear, telling you to run but you knew you had to stand up and be strong.
âIf you just give me whatâs rightfully mine, Jihoon, Iâll leave without hurting anyone.â Jeonghan said calmly while he examined his nails. Jihoon let go of you, but before you could ask what was wrong Mingyuâs arm went around your waist.
âShe is not yours, Jeonghan and you know that youâre just doing this to make my immortal life an even bigger hell. Iâm sorry your soulmate got killed all those years ago, it wasnât my intention to let her get hurt,â Jihoon said softly to the boy on the bed, which had a face of stone toward his words. You could feel that he was hurting in your heart, and you wanted to comfort him for some reason. Jeonghan stood up and looked at Jihoon in the eye.
âThe girl comes with me, end of story. Wonwoo, take her away,â he said to thin air as a new pair of arms slid around your hips pulling you out of Mingyuâs embrace. The boy looked at you; he too had no emotion to his face. Four other guards all in black stormed into the room and held Jihoon and Mingyu down as the boy named Wonwoo walked toward the window with you. Â You felt light headed and couldnât fight back and you hated it.
âWonwoo! How could you fake your own death and go work with him! You betrayed us!â You heard Mingyu scream. The boy carrying you stopped and looked over his shoulder.
âI betrayed no one Mingyu, you should know this was my choice you were there,â He stepped onto the window sill and you saw a flash of pain cross his features before he jumped put the window with Jeonghan right behind you. All you remember before being knocked out was the sound of Jihoonâs screams and the laughing of Jeonghan as he and his guards walked through the night taking you to your destiny.
