#okay#but this comparison really gets me#because in first scene#emma isn’t sure about this story the unfamiliar man next to her is telling#he doesn’t really believe him so she looks to her mother#but more importantly mary-margaret#her best friend#the person she trusts the most#for confirmation#but the second scene really gets me because#this time her mother is telling her something#and she isn’t sure if it’s true#she doesn’t want it to be true and she needs someone to confirm it#so she looks to hook#you can really see in this scene how much trust and understanding has been built between hook and emma#and i think it’s safe to say that at this point#he’s the person that she trusts the most to tell her the truth#her friend and confidante#who she just happens to be really attracted to but doesn’t have time to think about that way at the current moment#this shift in emma’s trust is EVERYTHING#it means that she’s finally starting to open up and trust (via tragicallyhipsterinvancouver)
