But even though me memāry was constantly being filled by unnamed faces and fearful cries, I still longed for more. To see rivulets of blood run from wood n steel into the salty, turbālent, liquid crystāl sea.
The day had started out as always, with the Captānās fat n noisy excuse for a parrot squawkin at the top o its lungs, which seemed to be bigger than its brains. I had done me usual duāies, keepin the crew in line, doin whatever captāns work the Captān didnāt feel like doin, checkinā to see āow much āuman meat the cook was intendinā on puāing in her disgustin stew.
But while idlin a crew member called us oāer to see a ship in the distance. I couldnāt āelp but wonderā¦ was it āers? Luckāly for all oā us, it was a simple merchant ship.
I rāmembered what the Captān āad said but I couldnāt āelp but want for the rush of attack. It plagued me like a demon of wrath, taking āold whenever it could and turninā my vision blood red.
It was sāpposed to be quick, a few kills, take the loot, let the survivārs sink n die. But no, the three pests got involved: a stupid āorny teenager and āis āorny teenage friend, as well as a calmer, slightly attractive girl with angelic bird wings. She rāminded me of somethin I couldnāt quite rāmemberā¦maybe someone.
Nonethāless, I was about to do somethin to dispatch o them when the Captān āimself came up, with āis stupid arrogānce that was so tangible I thought Iād walked into a solid thing for a moment. And, o course, āe āad to spare em, stupid morals n all. And so the three annoyances were dragged down to the hold to sleep with the rats.
