I had a goofy idea for a subset of cogs called “Secretary Cogs”. The whole line being based off bugs, and starting first with Chatty Cathies.
And of course, my own little character: “Chatterina”

Low level cogs that can be found near Toon town central. Often in groups of 2s or 3s, Chatty Cathies are quite weak. But what they lack in strength, they make up for in numbers. On it's last turn, if alone they are able to use an ability known as 'Reply All'. This allows them to call on a cog within the area that is up to +2 levels higher than their own to join the fight. It only has a 50/50 chance in working.
If there are none in the area, another Chatty Cathy may spawn that can be a +1 level higher. They have a 10% chance of summoning a higher level cog (Mingler, Legal Eagle, Big Cheese etc) but they must be infron of a cog building or HQ in order to do so. When a cog is summoned, Cathy is allowed to give them a buff that will increase their accuracy for 2 turns. After that all cogs' accuracy returns to normal.
> In the apocalypse canon, they're one of the most common cog types to see, but are easy to take out without alerting. Some have been used for scraps in order to increase the functionality of other cogs. Especially in Corporate Clash. They are rather obedient and will always flock towards someone of power.
> For cogs, they're great for delivering information. That's if they are able to get to their destination, if intercepted because of their strong need to yap they may just tell you the information. Because of this, higher up cogs have invented multiple fail safes for this. Some Cathy's will have their audio manually turned off or muted. Some will go through a system crash and become unresponsive, and will require a code in order to 'unlock' the information. And the last and most destructive is.. well.. self destruct. This only ever applied when the cog information is extremely vital, as with enough hacking Cathies can have their memory used to retrieve data.
In 10 years, Cathies have become less of a tool and more of a luxury. Often being owned as pets by higher level cogs and will often give whoever they serve juicy gossip to entertain. Their parts have even been sold for scrap in the Toon Market as well, and have allowed better advancement in technology and weaponry.
> Because of their social nature, they are rather easy to convince to switch sides. Alone, Cathies are not much of a threat. In fact, some toons have managed to also adopt them as friends, pets or assistants. As defection comes more naturally, as long as you have some kinda gossip.
