i seriously can't imagine dan and herbert having a social life because they're codependent and herbert hates everyone who isn't dan and dan is weird and they suck

i think what would happen if they tried to have people over for dinner or something herbert would be like dan handle this. fuck these people im going to the basement. and then dan would be like ok sweetie :) and then like herbert is getting strangled and thrown around in the basement thumping noises like crazy everyone is like ? and dan is visibly sweating and is like ummm... we left ... the cat.... in the oven ... (or something really stupid and obviously a lie) going to handle that real quick. and then when he goes to help herbert he like starts kicking himself because he wasn't normal enough
