The most important things are the hardest to say because words diminish them.

Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.

Don’t feel guilty if you don’t know what you want to do with your life. The most interesting people I know didn’t know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives. Some of the most interesting 40-year-olds I know still don’t.

I did not see the universe in her eyes, but rather the ocean. They did not sparkle like the stars, but glint and ripple like a body of waves. They held the colours of a thousand corals, the life of a million thriving ecosystems and the sparkle of undiscovered beauty.
