a lot // Barry Lyndon Γ 21 Savage
Having expansive and terrifying thoughts about a Superman AU set in the 2270s of Star Trek.
Highlights include:
- Andorian Lois Lane
- Tellarite Perry White
- Semi-corporeal Kryptonians (Siblings to the Q/Organians)
- Superman catching a Constitution Class above a city, speeding past a Starship and then cussing out a Starfleet Admiral for threatening to deport a planet of Klingon farmers
- Superman catching a photon torpedo aimed at a colony, flying back to the Klingon ship and dropping it at the captain's feet. "You dropped this, Commander."
- Superman rescuing a group of people from a transporter accident by reaching into subspace and then ending with the classic "safest way to travel" line.
I had a horrifically impulsive thought and this was the result
You Arenβt Alone
I love the SPOP fandom. Do we have our jerks and problem children? Of course, every fandom does. But this has overall been one of my favorite fandom experiences ever and I want to take a moment for todayβs prompt to especially give a shout out to my buddies who only added to my love for this show!
For today's SPOP Appreciation Week prompt of "You Arenβt Alone," I want to extend a big thank you to my mutuals on here and on Discord, my diehard readers (Star!!) and all the SPOP buddies Iβve collected over the years. Iβm still here because of you and itβs been a pleasure to celebrate this show and goof around with you!
But I have to do a special thanks to my core group that started it all, my beloved glimbies.

Do you think when Dick was in his "I hate my dad" phase Bruce just used to imagine the vibe from the 1966 Batman in his head whenever he had to deal with a 20 minute screaming rant about how he was an whackjob
Average Batman comic writer:
Tim Drake is the Miles O'Brien of the Batfamily. I will not be taking questions at this time
If Sherlock Holmes was Isekai'd to a fantasy world he would just deduce the rules of this world and get back to solving crimes. He'll find an elf girl sidekick, name her Watson, and pretend like nothing happened.
"If you look closely, you can see traces of chalk dust on the floor. Our murderer must have used a magic circle to kill our victim."
"Actually Holmes, this looks like salt. Quite unusual for a magic circle, since it can be scattered so easily..."
"It tastes like salt too. Good eye Watson. Let us start by visiting the fish mongers."
"Well I would enjoy some fried dragonfish, but how does this help our investigation?"
"A process of elimination, my long-eared friend. There're only two ways for the culprit to get salt in the city. They could have brought it in themselves-"
"But then they'd have to pay the tarrif!"
"Very astute! No, a much likelier option is that they bought it here. Either the docks or the meat market would be the place. And I have a hunch that our culprit is fishy in more ways than one."
"But Holmes, how did you know the merfolk ambassador was the killer?"
"An excellent question, the key was the footprints."
"But he doesn't even have feet!"
"He doesn't as of right now. But you forget, the magic circle."
"I see! The killing spell was a water spear, which normally requires a circle."
"But doesn't if you're already imbued with water magic like our scaly ambassador."
"So the circle..."
"To grant him a pair of feet. For just long enough to leave distinctive footprints in the scattered salt and to make us suspect a two-legged killer."
"By the Goddess, Holmes, you're a genius!"
Makes sense.
Anyway, getting sheer autism vibes from Holmes
Good. That means I wrote him in-character.
yeah okay ill reblog that
He does in There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension
You can divide every Tim Drake fic neatly along the line "writer is a middle sibling/ writer is not a middle sibling" and it's got a lot less to do with the character dynamics/how Tim feels about the rest of the Batfam and more about whether or not he actually likes Dick Grayson or not because I dare you to find a middle child who doesn't maintain an irrational adoration of their eldest sibling

If inheritance tax is so bad why did it bring down the Joker
lbr he doesnt stand a chance against a real clownoisseur
As someone getting into Batman very quickly it is extremely funny how the fandom idea of Jason Todd is functionally a completely different character while the Tim Drake is Just Like That
Also what do you mean Death In the Family is a thinly veiled piece of anti-abortion misogyny
They all come in a box with their own severe traumas and they all kinda hate each other but when you try to separate them they start screaming
I could fix him (BTAS: The Adventures Continue Jason Todd)

I am what God made me. And perhaps it is my difference that will make me useful. I think again of your sermon. I know what it is to exist between the worldβs certainties.
