The story goes very similarly to how SwapSwap’s does
After many Genocide routes Chara starts to not only hate this Human they call “Frisk.” But as well as despise them, Chara looks for a solution on how to end this and make Frisk and the ones they love suffer a slow painful death the way Frisk made theirs. Chara then realizes they have the option to “Swap.” This swap was made to simply put Chara in the Player Role and Frisk in the The Fallen role but something happens, during the reset frisk ends up dying on a fight causing them to reset as well, both of these resets happen at the same time causing a glitch to happen, not only do just Chara and Frisk swap, the whole world swaps. And here we are
TripleSwap has begun.
