This is my best friend in the world, of literal decades. He's going to school to be an art teacher, and he's an out and proud trans man.
In a little less than two months, he'll finally be getting top surgery, but he needs a little help paying for it. It's due at the pre-op appointment a month beforehand.
Things are getting harder for trans folk here in Kentucky, as in many other states. They just introduced a bill here that would make it impossible for trans people to become teachers if it passes. He's already said he and his partner will move away if that happens.
But in the meantime, if you can give, please consider it and share this post. If you can't, sharing this post is enough. He deserves every happiness.

Hello! My name is Adrien. I'm a 32 year old trans man from KY. I'm currently half-way through a bachelor's degree in fine arts (BFA), with a concentration in Art Education. I'm hoping to teach public school (assuming I am able to safely stay in the US...) I am passionate about making art and learning and creativity as a skill. I want to help others learn to be creative, express themselves in a constructive way, and become better critical thinkers. I'm a full-time student, and have a student worker position in an art gallery on campus that I love working at... but it doesn't pay much.
I set up this GoFundMe to help alleviate some of the financial burden on me and my partner, who is helping me cover a significant amount of the costs. All of the money I am able to raise will go directly towards either paying for the surgery or paying back my partner and/or paying off any loans we have to take out. Please, if you are able to, I would be extremely grateful to anyone who contributes, and to anyone who shares this. Thank you for reading!!

My surgery is scheduled for May 14th, 2026, and the payment is due at my pre-op appointment on April 17th, 2026. I have saved up about $3,000 myself, but still need at least $4,000 more to reach the amount I was quoted ($7,150).)

A mystical game of chess between two cosmic beings has real world consequences for the pieces on the field.
My wife released her passion project onto Kickstarter! It’s a fantasy comic about a Pawn caught between two goddesses in a game of chess who must cross the board to save his beloved.
