I can see Moon loving Vanny for freeing him from his programming restraints, allowing him to maim anyone who annoys him (which is everyone because how could a mere human measure up to his robotic dca need for perfection?), while Sun hates her precisely for having removed his self control (how can he, the dca, an animatronic who must always be in control, lose himself to such things?).

Sun wants to be in control, wants to be viewed as perfect, to have no faults and have others obey him and think he's amazing - the literal center of the universe. He's attached to Moon (he is Moon), who we know nothing about prior to Vanessa's arrival at the Pizzaplex, but I'd say we know enough to make out game!Moon is not like book!Moon, since book!Moon was an unfixable accident whereas in SB he's clearly marketed to hell and back at the pizzaplex AND used to attend naptime according to Cassie. The Moon we meet loves being in control, but unlike Sun he doesn't stress about it too much. He has fun with disobeying little shits, because he doesn't need to play nice with them afterwards - he's the Moon, the Bad Guy, the one who can Punish, and in my view (especially post HW2) Vanny's Favourite Dog, he can play first and show them who's boss later (unlike Sun, who is stuck being bossy without an outlet for his frustrations... Besides mockery and shouting, that is).

Moon gets to be in control by losing himself, whereas Sun desperately needs to be in control by caging them.
