Cheer me up?
Spend a week killing myself over my dream job that was basically promised to me only to get an email that "Unfortunately we are unable to offer you a position at this time"
Name: Ring Pop Origin: America Type: Lollipop Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
I remember something similar from my childhood, but they were push pops and pretty messy and sticky! This one is a bit of a nostalgia candy! Also fun, definitely a fun candy.
I didnât have any problems suckling this little thing. I used it more as a pacifier than a ring though, less messy! The watermelon flavor is very rich and whole. Ring Pops are extremely sweet and sugary, we donât have to kid ourselves! Sometimes the sugar is a bit overwhelming but I think we know what weâre getting into when we start this thing. Rated:Â 5/10 - Too much sweetness but great nostalgia! Recommendation: Why not? They are fun to play around with and make great jewelry (kinda).
Name: Skittles Origin: America Type: Chewy Candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Skittles are a rather rare treat here in Germany. You can get them in some stores but donât count on it! I only ever had the regular skittles and I freaking love chewy candy.
The sour Skittles were pretty good! Solid chewy candy with a tiny bit of a sour twist. They werenât as sweet.
Berry Skittles are HEAVEN! A mix of sweet and sour. The flavors are really rich and multiplying in your mouth. Seriously! Rated:Â 9/10 - If you love chewy candy, get it, my friends! Recommendation: Definitely. Skittles are solid. Skittles are good.

Name: Sour Patch Kids Origin: America Type: soft and chewy jelly candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
We have previously determined that I am a huge fan of chewy candy! So, I was very excited to try these.
I canât say that I noticed much of the sour coating. The jelly kids were very delicious nontheless!
I absolutely love the rich flavor. They had some sort of sour/sugary coating, which made consuming multiple SP Kids a little messy. But maybe thatâs just me⌠being messy.
They came in a variety of fruity flavors. Quite enjoyable! Rated:Â 8/10 - A solid chewy candy, rich in flavor. Recommendation: Absolutely! For a German mouth, this was a very unique and flavorsome experience.
Name: Warheads Origin: America Type: Hard Candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Dear mother of god!
Robyn told me to try these right away, so I did, and oh god, was that a painful experience.
At first I tried the Blue Raspberry flavor, it was pretty sour but I could deal with it! When that first jaw-clinching feeling is over, it tastes of flowers! Definitely delicious and unique in flavor.
Later on I tried the Lemon flavor and I swear, my head turned the deepest shade of red youâve ever seen. I am not too bothered by extremely sour things but, my god! For someone whoâs never had a Warhead before, this was quite a bit to take and swallow. I swear, I couldnât even taste the lemony hard candy after the sour coat was gone. My taste buds felt a little numb. Rated:Â 6/10 - Some flavors are nothing but âsourâ but thatâs just what you get and have to expect! Recommendation: Not sure, really not sure. Blue Rasperry - Yes, go ahead. The sour will be over soon. Lemon - my god, only if you like it extremely sour. If you are a bit on the sensitive side when it comes to spices, do not!
Name: Fruit Gushers Origin: America Type: fruity, chewy candy with a liquid middle Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Gushers were a very unique experience for my mouth!
The chewy, soft candy itself tasted similar to berry compote with a dash of vanilla. Very hard to explain but we got a dessert here called âGrĂźtzeâ, which is very similar in flavor.
Again, the flavor is very rich and almost overwhelming. Once you start to chew on it, the liquid core will gush into your mouth. The core itself is more of a very sweet syrup.
Personally, I couldnât eat more than just a couple of them in one session but the flavor was very enjoyable. Rated:Â 8/10 - Very unique flavor and consistency. Recommendation: Definitely! If you are from outside the US and have a chance to try there, go for it. But keep in mind - very sweet and syrupy.
Name: Reeseâs Pieces Origin: America Type: Crunchy Candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Hallelujah, the peanut butter gods have spoken!
In case you arenât aware: In Germany, we do not get peanut butter sweets. We get one or two types of peanut butter and thatâs that! And I freaking LOVE peanut butter. I will devour a pot of peanut butter bread spread in under a week - easily.
My friend Robyn did me such a favor by picking these crunchy drops! They are comparable to M&Ms but taste like melty peanut butter and I love it. The taste lasts for quite some time. Another pro? This package is super full! Rated:Â 9/10 - Super stuffed package and peanut butter goodnes. Recommendation: Yes! If you are fanatic about peanut butter, get them and love them and devour them with passion. If you have any sort of nut allergy - yea, maybe not so much!
Name: Starburst Origin: America Type: Soft, chewy candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Fruity flavor explosion!
Here in Germany, we got a very similar candy called Maoam, but let me tell you⌠this does not compare. The flavor is extremely fruity and rich. I could hardly tell what flavor I had in my mouth, it just tasted like a mix of energy drink and melted gummy bears.
Extremely soft inside the mouth, this is a gentle and delicious treat for when you feel like you need some great sugary goodness. Rated:Â 8/10 - The flavor is extremely unique and prominent. Fruity galore! Recommendation: Oh yes, do give it a try. Even if you think you have similar candy in your part of the world - these flavors are epic.

Name: Pop Rocks Origin: America Type: Popping Candy Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Oh my, this is so much fun!
I remember, again from my childhood, that we used to have little foot-shaped lollipops with popping candy to dip them in. I have no idea what sort of traumatizing value that had but the popping candy definitely stuck with me.
I never had Pop Rocks before though! These are very lovely and enjoyable. The flavor reminded me of how my bathing soap smells - not in a bad way! The strawberry is quite artifical but still enjoyable.
The popping and crackling lasts for quite a while in your mouth! Rated:Â 6/10 - Itâs too much fun to not enjoy it. Recommendation: Yea sure, give that a try! If youâve never had little sugary explosions in your mouth, get it! Very fruity and fun.
Name: Hersheyâs Milk Chocolate Origin: America Type: Chocolate Bar Obtained: sent by my lovely friend, Robyn Price: N/A - gift What I can say about this candy:
Today I had a fairly short day at work, so I skipped breakfast and just took some energy source with me, this Hersheyâs bar!
Now we all know that Germany, where I live, is probably a country with some of the most delicious chocolates, so why did I want Hersheyâs? Because itâs always good to try new things, clearly! And I wasnât disappointed.
The flavor and consistency of this chocolate reminds me a lot of our Advent calendar chocolates. It was a little rubber like and bendy and soft. Not bad though! Definitely a different taste from our usual chocolates, here in Germanland. I got a huge package of 6 bars in total and I will continue to take these to work as a little snack. Rated:Â 6/10 - Pretty good but one bar is enough for the day. Recommendation: This is a bit difficult. I think you could get better chocolate from different countries BUT if you are keen to just try everything, like me, this wonât disappoint you. It is a very great solid chocolate.
