Hi, I was getting bored of drawing my kids since they aren't entirely original characters. So I made sketches of two of my own original characters. I came up with one several years ago but never got around to drawing it, and I came up with the other one a few months ago, though I had already sketched it before.
The first character is a bullfrog with eyes inside its "mouth," and although I'd had the idea for a long time, I never drew it or gave it a name. For now, it's called Jester, since when I sketched it, it reminded me of a jester (not very original).
This character is a secondary character in the story where I plan for it to appear. It's the ruler of an unknown and difficult-to-enter place, or at least it was difficult to enter until a little over five years ago, something that bothers and irritates it because, now living alongside other beings and humans, it's forced to adapt the customs of its world and prohibit other rituals.
Also, having to adapt to living with other species that aren't part of its world, it decided to send some of its people to form a small village in one of those kingdoms to try for a "healthy" coexistence. This is something he's not achieving, since the world where they formed their village was a human one, and they weren't used to creatures like them.
Another thing I'd like to add is that he's the last of his kind, a species that existed millennia ago and was eliminated by the dominant species of that time (who were also the ones who created his species) due to the health problems they had. For example, some of these health problems were:
-Having feathers and being amphibious made their skin more prone to irritation from the mites that could live in their feathers.
-There's also the problem that their eyes were in their "mouths," and they ate through where their eyes should have been (in fact, you can see in the image that they have tiny teeth on their eyelids). This made eating and seeing unpleasant, since they had to keep their mouths open to see, and their vision wasn't good because part of their field of vision was blocked by the inner walls of their mouths. And as for eating, since they had a mouth on each eyelid, for some reason they were given two stomachs that needed to be filled XD.
-And lastly, their legs, being designed for jumping but completely straight for walking, made them stumble or lose their balance very easily.

Now, with the most recent one, and the one I've drawn before, is Tolaat. In short, it's a reimagining of the Christian God, and it's not very faithful to the Bible.
To begin with, it's not his true form. His true form is like that of a fat worm, hence his name (Tolaat means worm in Hebrew). He's also blind, although in his true form his nostrils are mistaken for small eyes. And if you're wondering, "So how does he know or see what's happening in the world if he's blind?" it's very simple: by the magic of the Holy Spirit, which is a group of doves with a hive mind who like to observe everything that happens.
This character is a secondary character who appears in another story. The main character in the story is Yeshua (Jesus), and the characters are two teenage twins from a Christian family in 1970s Spain, after Franco's death.
This character only appears occasionally to check on his son and because he has nothing better to do. His relationship with Yeshua isn't very good, partly because Tolaat doesn't see humans as equals and partly because he doesn't understand what he's doing wrong. To help you understand, I'll use an example from a post I found online:
The post showed how, during a solar eclipse, some young people took a fish out of the water, put special eclipse glasses on it, and then put it back in the water as if nothing had happened, just for fun. Someone in the comments wrote, "From the fish's point of view, beings it didn't understand and had never seen before took it out of its world to show it something it couldn't comprehend and then put it back in its world as if it hadn't seen something beyond its comprehension." Something like that.
Well, for Tolaat, we are that fish. We are foolish, amusing, and unimportant beings with whom he can do anything without consequence. That's why he doesn't see the problem or the gravity of his actions or of human conflicts, causing Yeshua to become frustrated and annoyed with him and his way of seeing things.
Which is curious, because Tolaat tried to understand humans the first time Yeshua lived, before he was sacrificed. That's why he asked Miryam and Yosef (Mary and Joseph) for permission to impregnate Mary with Yeshua… Something Yosef didn't accept, so as a solution, he made Yeshua have DNA from all three of them. (I'm only telling this because I thought it was funny).
And if you're wondering why his human form looks like that, it's because Tolaat likes that form and because he knows that it makes people of that time and place uncomfortable.
