“I’m tired…” Leo breathes, his voice barely holding back the dam he’s built for himself, reinforced with every failure. Usagi pulls back, bringing his hands up to cradle Leo’s face in his palms. Leo moves with the motion of his hands, allowing first a soft kiss on his forehead, another between his eyes, and finally a lingering kiss on his lips. They break apart, and Usagi meets Leo’s gaze and wishes, as he has begged the universe every night, that he could take away the pain within them. “Then, let us sleep.”
