“Stupidity.” Maeve said next to her with a sigh leaving her cherry lips. “Only someone foolish would plan and do something like this. This is absolutely ridiculous.”

"You think someone actually planned this? Are you sure it’s not just some freak accident? Wouldn’t that make more sense....or I guess none of this makes any sense at all.” 

“Alright, whichever asshat murderer just opened up a portal to hell please do everyone a favor and jump in it.” Lauren says angrily crossing her arms in front of her chest. 

He was once again leaning against the wall with another drink in his hand. He had danced and ate for a few hours so he had just gotten back to the wall that had been his spot for the whole night. At the same time that he did, demons emerged and people started screaming, meanwhile he just watched others as they panicked.

Maeve could only sigh and roll her eyes, only in Misty Bay could they all get trapped in a mansion at an annual event. She just sat and sipped at her drink waiting patiently.

“And I thought this was a Christmas in July party, not HALLOWEEN. What the hell is going on?” 

“Who cares what others think? It’s all about what you think, the rest can go to Hell! But obivously, I’m not going to tell you if Santa is coming or not.”

"I don't, but you'd be surprised the things people do these days when other's offend them, as if my costume choice is causing anyone harm. I guess I’ll just have to squeeze the truth out of Cade then.” 

“I could but I would have to carry you home afterwards. I tried but I got shot down by the mermaid rep.” 

"And you'd have to nurse me back to health, haven't you heard snow gives us an unbearable cold. Now where’s my dance and hug, mister?” 

“This is way too much Christmas even for December.”

"Let me guess, you're who inspired the Grinch too? I think you just need some Christmas cookies to help you get more in the spirit, I brought a freshly baked batch,” she encouraged, pulling out a basket from seemingly nowhere. 

She giggled a bit as she cocked her head. “I think it’s perfect! I wish i would have thought of that!” She said, her smile spread across her face. 

"Glad it's bringing smiles on everyone's faces because that's really what Christmas is all about, don't you think? It’s not too late, the night is still young.” 

“Oh but I don’t think you can be too Christmas, so this is absolutely perfect!”

"You'd be surprised what some of the others might think, but I think it's a little bit of a refreshing change from the bikinis and all that comes with summer. I wonder if Sanrta’s coming to town later.” 

“Right. He’s probably grumpy ‘cause his name sucks -and I agree. I was this close to wearin’ my santa underwear.”

"Definitely, or his date stood him up, or turned him down. Who knows? At least some people are in the spirit. Why didn't you? Seems like the perfect opportunity to go for it?"

“Too over the top? Nah. Who told you that?”

"The grump on the way in, think he said his name was Scrooge or at least that's what I heard. If we're meant to get into the spirit, might as well go all out, don't you think?"

“Cheers and happy birthday to you, yes… oops.”

“It is your birthday, right?”

“Not quite, my birthday already passed, but glad to see someone is here enjoying the party,” the brunette smiled. “I don’t think it is anyone’s birthday.” 

“Welcome to Christmas in July. Relax, party and save me a dance.” 

“And if I don’t? Gonna hit me with a splash of water? I’m just fortunate you guys didn’t use actual snow.”
