more people should choose their names though. grown adults are really out there walking around with names their parents chose at random. "nice baby name, did your mommy pick that out for you?" grow up

i'm joking in the sense that if you like your birth name, i'm happy for you! but i've heard a ton of cis people talking wistfully about "if i could choose any name…" and i have wondrous news! you can and you should! it's your name, and you deserve to love it. and if the one your parents picked out before you were born doesn't vibe, or even if you just find one that you like better--well now it's your turn to pick!

My name ended up mispelled and im keeping it. It shows that ive been fucking up since minute 1.
