I've been shipping these two for 21 years now.

Sorry I'm not participating in Artfight this year. I have WAY too much going on this month. I love to see my mutuals slaying with their attacks, though, so I'm still spectating!

We're deep-diving into this and it will be drawn way better than this era was 16 years ago! This also means i have to jump back into Fawful's North-American-specific regurgitated English, but I am going to intentionally tone it down to make him as accessible to read as possible. Anyone who does not like that can look for other Fawful fan media to enjoy. There is a lot out there. :)

Ten years ago, a thing happened. Get ready for a Kamek story

Ideas for the upcoming Kamek comic since I'm kind of shoehorning these two in due to them being in a dream of me doing so.

Immortal Fool is a long-running AU comic following, mainly the adventures of Fawful and Kamek and events that happened to them since Fawful attempted to revive Cackletta after Superstar Saga.

A long time had passed since those events. Wendy had taken over Kamek's role and name in the previous Kamek's absence (it's a job title in this story), which over time, led to the Koopalings disbanding entirely. the plan was to introduce one Koopaling in each story to see how they're doing and maybe eventually do that one story I had in mind of Bowser Jr trying to reunite them if I'm still making comics by then.

Anywaym I'm now addicted to Mina the Hollower. I've beaten the storyline and now I'm doing all the missed sidequests and item digging. Especially in that Septemburg area now that I've fucking murdered the jumpscare crow bastard. Way to go, me!

Been learning and fiddling with Krita's UI during any micro moments I've had of free time. I found a couple of default brushes that I actually like, but all the textured shading brushes are too soft and blendy. I only like painting when it's traditional.

While this was done on the Android version of krita, I'm mainly learning Krita because I'm doing a lot of testing and experimentation with drawing tablets on Linux, and since Krita is the best thing natively on Linux, it's going to be the go-to software for confirming pen pressure and pen tilt work on Linux. WINE/Bottles and Waydroid can run Windows and Android programs, pen functionality was actually wonky with some tablets.

there may one day be a wave of digital artists leaving windows for linux and i want to help give advice for the transition.

i also want to one day make a video for youtube on how to migrate your workflow from windows to linux and knowing how and where to change krita settings to be as accessible to your normal drawing habits as possible is super important. most videos on transitioning just talk about what Linux is, how to use it, and then they end with "just use krita, i love it"

and man did i hate krita for a long time.

The biggest debate going on with Artfight is that tracing 3D models is an accessibility function for those with Aphantasia, and I'm thinking to myself "I have aphantasia and I've never-"

and then I realized this is exactly why I've drawn Mario characters off-model for 16 years (and geno as a human because his doll details are too overwhelming for me to draw). This has all been just one big fat stack of Mario universe fanart drawn by an aphantasic.
