omg out of all of them, i did not expect that one to be noticed first, but i will yap about it bc it's one of my favorites and one i've been thinking about for a while (the notes list anon was referring to)

so, hear me out

veterinarian reader who just broke off her long engagement to her ex fiancé (who, very cliche, was in fact cheating on her). he went back to their hometown in oregon, and she stayed in virginia because her business was there and she still loved the area where they lived

and obviously, that's how she met the beautiful and amazing emily prentiss, thanks to sergio. and a few weeks before they started talking and going on dates, reader found out that she was actually pregnant. reader obviously drops this knowledge to emily very early on, expressing that if she didn't want that commitment along with having a slightly "taboo" relationship (because this takes place late season 5, early season 6, which obviously takes place before gay marriage was legalized in all 50 states) then she completely understood

however, emily obviously always had that maternal instinct in her and that need to prove to herself that she can love and nurture something precious, besides the obvious sergio, she was more than happy to raise readers kid with her

obviously there's more in store for these two, but i can't give all my plans away 😉

✩ they worked until the bags under their eyes were impossible to hide with makeup.

✩ their job was sucking the life out of them slowly, if only they could’ve seen that.

✩ have you ever seen a walking human corpse? (insert character name), now you have.

✩ “kid, i don’t want you to end up like me. skipping meals, leaving your family, all for a job? don’t make the same mistakes.”

✩ it was painful, but nothing brought them more pain than feeling worthless at their job.

✩ they never wanted to get married, unless it was to their job of course.

✩ they missed their own birthday for a meeting…

✩ they were angry, why wouldn’t they be? unfortunately that rage was channeled into their work.

✩ “be careful.” “with what?” “yourself.”

✩ that was the fifth call they had hung up that day, why did people have to interrupt now? and today of all days!
