hello. as a person who, professionally, tells people what they have to read... i have always wanted to do this type of post. luckily, i’m on my last few days of winter break, so i actually managed to get some reading done this week.
some of you have already seen my scary comments (worry not – i will continue to appear : -) ) but for now, here is the masterlist

The Dark Gods’s Fragile Alliance by @dynamicducks – listen, this is a literal masterpiece. duck was born to be a durgetash writer, period. it’s one of the best pre-tadpole fics i’ve ever read; the whole heist is not only intense but incredibly funny.
Insolent offence, or Enver Gortash's patience tested by @mad-rigals – staying in the durgetash/pretadpole lane. the tension building here is chef’s kiss. i really love how durge and gortash have that specific "fighting siblings" energy.
Until you break by @aerin67 – moving into the post-game era. this features my favorite scenario: what happens to our favorite scary little tyrant when he actually has to go back to being… normal?
A Dowry of Smoke by @cinder-rellish181 – i promise this is the last durgetash on the list (for now), but it starts so strong. the BOOOM part was easily my favorite. can’t wait for more.
A Bhaalspawn's Guide To Love by @gortashsrighthand – listen. seara and durge are my parents. i love them to death, i would do anything for them, and GRH is easily one of my favorite writers. 10/10.
[side note: i also spent some time this week learning how i should write losers. aka: gale dekarios.] 🪄
Anamnesis Red by @saylofwaterdeep – okay, it’s a long read, but the second chapter gave me one of my new favorite characters (murdock <3). sayl is a fantastic writer who clearly has a powerful demon helping them, so check this one out fast, who knows, by next month it might have twice as many words.
If You Ever Did Believe by @asorceresswrites – as a massive fan of 1) the statement that names have power and 2) astarion x wyll Speak Now by Taylor Swift... i was delighted. the second chapter is amazing; i was actually speechless.
