Stan Lee laid the groundwork. He, along with many talented artists (Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby) created the heroes we could all relate to. As a dorky kid myself, nothing is cooler than Pete swinging around in the best costume period. When I read the Fantastic Four or X-Men or the Hulk, I knew that was the world I wanted to be apart of. With great power came great responsibility. Nothing is stronger than family, even the family you choose. That world of heroes and struggles and villains, that world was real to me. It remains so.
