Be kind, but firm

When speaking to people you love, be honest and always come from a place of love. Our loved ones are sometimes the recipients of some of our harshest words when we don’t direct them to who they were meant for.l

Learn how to drive a stick shift. I still have to learn my damn self

Learn how to operate power tools. It’s fun and who doesn’t want to look like a badass bent over a table saw looking like she knows what she’s doing??

Drink your water if for no other reason than to keep body odor down…..being dehydrated causes a lot of stuff to smell. And when you drink water, don’t guzzle gallons at a time. Drink roughly ¼ liter every 15 minutes

Learn how to make at least one dish. All you need do is perfect one dish

Anything beauty related, learn how to do the basics yourself if you can. Your hair, wigs, makeup, nails….if you can and if you WANT to, learn it yourself. Everything I do, I taught myself

Have a hobby. I cannot stress this enough. Do something fun that you are super interested in and could see yourself doing all the time. My hobby is the only thing keeping sane right now lol

You don’t have to be strong all the time. I know you make think you have to, but you don’t. It’s hard and exhausting and you deserve to be soft. Softness doesn’t make you weak

If you have a car, keep a go bag in your trunk. Make sure it has a change of clothes or two, two pairs of shoes, and a toiletry bag

Learn how to change a tire, your brakes, and headlights

Learn healing. Heal your soul, heal your mind, heal your body. Use nature as much as you can….essential oils, herbs, crystals. Talk to your higher being if you have one

Try to forgive. This is so much easy to say than it is to do, because I can tell you this is the biggest thing I have a problem with. You do not want to be bitter and let your hurt, anger, sadness, or disappointment consume you and change you. Because if you let it, it definitely will and you’ll be sitting there at times like ‘I miss who I used to be’
