When Matt gets sick, he starts to act like a dying Victorian child, wanting you to baby him. Although, he doesn’t get sick often, when he does, he’s absolutely suffering, as if he's on the brink of death. He will beg for you to lie in bed, or even play a game with him. He uses being sick as a way to hog your attention, but he has always been terrible at taking care of himself. Best to make sure you do drag him to the doctor when he starts feeling worse. Arguing with you about smoking because he’s needs just a little smoke, but just giving him some meds and hoping he passes out in the next hour is your best bet.
Recovering after a random cold and thought of this
Near would hate the noise coming from fireworks, but he would quite enjoy looking at them. Just seeing the colors light the sky. Near likes to bring along something small like dice or cards to occupy himself in between sets of fireworks. Wearing his little soundproof headphones. Truly he hates going outside but seeing the lights blooming into the sky really does make it all better for him.
Kissing you like it’ll be his last. He can’t help but crave you knowing he might not come back to you. He feels guilty like he’s stringing you along to watch him meet his end. But he can’t help but to crawl back to you, smothering you in his embrace. He doesn’t want to let go, scared that maybe one day you’ll find someone better than him. Scared that maybe Kira or a rival mafia will find you, and he’ll come back to your home to feel all the warmth draining from it, just like your body. But for now, he’ll softly nibble at your neck and smother you in his heated kisses. Until he has to leave again, the remnants of his warmth linger in your bed, but he’s nowhere to be found. Gone off into the dawn back to whatever place he’s calling home for now.
Matt had developed insomnia over the years. He can’t sleep and half the time he doesn’t even realize it’s the morning. Mello gets tired of hearing him up at ungodly hours and forces him to get off whatever game he’s playing. Promising Matt a little make-out session if he stops looking at screens for a while. But Mello also has nights where he’s not going to be as gentle and outright threatens Matt, not like he ever follows through, but sometimes Matt is hardheaded. Regardless, Mello still loves Matt deeply despite how hard it is to confront his emotions. It's the little things that he does and Matt notices and tries his best to reciprocate all the same.

If you have a bad habit of biting your nails, picking at your skin, etc., he will actively call you out for it like an owner catching their dog in the trash. He goes as far as buying a little spray bottle to squirt you with whenever you do it. But he does try giving you gum, a fidget toy or just whatever works best to make you stop. He may be curt and blunt, but at the same time, you can see a little hint of softness in his actions.

Replaying Kingdom hearts 1 final mix makes me wonder how I played this when I was younger. But mama didn’t raise a wuss and I will be beating this game.
When it comes to games, he definitely fixates on a certain one for a while. I’m saying that is all he will play until he finds something new to play. He also strives to 100% at any game, and he will take days up to months for it.
When Matt is feeling particularly hot and heavy he likes to shot gun his cigarette/vape smoke into your mouth.
Matt slowly pulls you close, loosely holding you by your neck, tilting your chin up, brushing his slightly chapped lips against yours. Hovering his lips close, then slowly, softly kissing. Letting you revel the kiss briefly before he breaks it apart to take a drag and letting a cloud of smoke lead into your desperate mouth. Matt lingers, the look on your face, beautiful. He can’t put a finger on what exactly draws him in, but he loves it. Slowly pulling back, he leans back languidly, patting his thigh as a gesture for you to sit. Once you’re close enough he pulls you in for another kiss. Eventually pulling away and putting out his cigarette to go back to kissing you properly. His tongue against yours, melting into a passionate kiss.
He loves finding underground artists and will dedicate himself solely to finding more of their music. Like if he sees that they have quit making music, he’ll just find their unreleased music by stalking their SoundCloud or whatever other socials they have.
Also, when it comes to how he listens to music, it goes a few ways. He has a Spotify account that he lwk found a way to steal off of someone’s family plan. Then he has a SoundCloud that he doesn’t have a premium for. He refuses to pay for ad-free streaming, hence why he soaks up other people’s family plans. Which brings me to Matt’s favorite way to listen to music.
Matt is a massive CD fan. Like he has tons of CDs around his apartment. He does listen to music digitally, but he can’t help the hobby he picked up as a kid. He likes the feel of CDs in his hand, and he likes putting them into a CD player and makes him nostalgic. If he somehow has copies of CDs, he just sells them and uses them as decorations/clutter around his house. Matt is a huge fan of burning CDs. It’s an old craft that he will happily keep alive.

I believe Near would appreciate being given a blanket. But it really depends on what kind of blanket. He wouldn’t like the scratchy grandma ones, he needs something light and soft that won’t agitate him. Like maybe silk, bamboo viscose, or maybe some form of cotton blankets. But I digress he would enjoy it knowing it’s something from someone who cares about him. He might not fully outwardly show it but he tries his best to demonstrate his appreciation.

Matt is a college student student majoring in cyber security. He doesn't care much for the whole idea of "college," but for the chance at some decent money he'd rather tough it out. Though, he's slacking on his courses, playing video games until someone in the company complains about it. Matt only does things on "his own time, just let him finish one more game of Overwatch." Although, secretly Matt also uses his new profession to help Mello out with the "technology stuff" that he doesn't understand.
Mello works as a detective not in the typical way, more like a private investigator. Mello always tries his hardest to make sure that his line of work doesn't follow him back home, as he lives together with Matt. But Matt always finds a way to worm himself into it. In the same way that he's worming his way deeper into Mello's heart.
Matt prefers being alone due to his introverted nature, yet Mello seems to not care all too much about it. Intruding and dragging Matt around to do things out of the house, let alone out of his room. His complaints aside, deep down, Matt likes the attention. He knows Mello always belittles himself, and because of that he tries his best to be around him often.
Feelings started growing between the two, and they didn't really bring it up. Instead, it built up, until this "mental kettle" started screaming, crashing these souls into what most call a relationship. Matt and Mello view each other in a way that most would consider to be close friends, but deep down they both knew the truth of it all. The long glances, late night talks, dinner together, it all burns down to their mutual desire to stay by the other's side. They both act as if this fantasy is unattainable, but in reality, it's close enough for either of them to grab.
Matt starts to realize that deep down that these feelings are too personal and overwhelming. He wants to escape it but he doesn't want to lose Mello in the process. He progressively starts to push away, declining hangouts, eating dinner in his own room, not even leaving his room in general. Matt can’t help but dive even deeper into his addiction. Smoking pack after pack of cigarettes avoiding Mello the best he can. He doesn't want to be this blunt, but at the same time is hoping that maybe, just maybe this whole thing will blow over.
Mello, sitting in his room starts to think about how he could talk to Matt about this. Mello gets a chocolate bar, unwraps, and bites into it hoping for some sort of idea to come, then it hits him. One day, after work he decides to knock on Matt's door, hoping to be let in. "Come in.." Matt says reluctantly, after what feels like years. Mello can hear the unease in his voice but nonetheless goes through with it. "Matt, can we talk... Please..?" He continues after Matt nods his head slightly. "I, I just miss spending time with you Matt, hanging out, eating together..." After an awkward pause he continues, "I, I feel so confused, we do these things, and hang out so casually, the way I miss you feels, well, unbearable, and I feel like it's more than I should..." Matt looks into his eyes, confused, but not scared, "W-What do you mean?" "You're my best friend and I just, care for you more than I can even fathom, I don't know I could tell you.." Unsure, but with a little confidence, Mello moves in, pressing a rushed, kiss onto Matt's lips, stealing the breath from his lungs. Matt pushes away, but he looked deep into Mello's crazed, blue eyes and throws himself onto him in another kiss. Matt is determined to show Mello how he truly feels. After a while Matt pulls away to caress Mello’s scar on his face. Moving closer to place a kiss onto it.
Hours pass after being tangled up in each other’s arms. Matt woke up to see Mello passed out snoring softly and wrapped around him. Refusing to let Matt up to take a bit of a toke, eventually Matt reached over to his night stand. Flicking his lighter a few times after pressing the cigarette into his lips, breathing in deep, letting the smoke fill his lungs before letting out a long exhale. Matt thinks to himself maybe this change will bring forth something fruitful for the two.

His kisses are slow paced and he turns a short peck into a long makeout session. Peppering your cheeks and face with his kisses is pretty good. But nothing compares to his lazy kisses all over your neck
Moving next to you slowly Matt has a clear target in mind. He looks at you expectantly wanting your attention. Slowly he places a soft peck on your neck and picks up pace once you don’t say anything. Matt begins lapping at your neck and gently sucking a few hickies here and there. Finally he looks at your face to see you staring at him wanting to kiss him. He smiles trying to hide his excitement but he’s already pulling you into his lap and wrapping his arms around your waist. Matt’s tongue slowly tangling with yours while he rubs your sides and squeezes your hips
Mello
Now Mello is pretty rough and usually avid with his kisses. Biting is another favorite thing to do especially to the junction between your neck and shoulder. Barely lets you breathe between kisses. He wants to steal all of your oxygen and make you think only of him in the moment.
Mello’s kisses never end fast due to his desperate want for connection. But when he doesn’t have the time he’ll settle for a quick peck and shoo you along.
You can always taste the lingering bits of chocolate Mello has eaten as well. It’s always pleasant to taste whatever specific flavor he has been eating. Usually it’s dark chocolate but sometimes he’ll switch up and try something new.
Mello has been stressed out all day and now he’s finally free to do what he wants. He’s got you in his lap and the only thing on his mind is smothering you. But for now he slowly kisses your neck nibbling at it every now and then. Resting his hand around your throat before long he’s moving it to grab the back of your neck pulling your into a fierce kiss. His other hand grabbing your hips and slightly grinding you down onto him. Causing you to gasp and he slips his tongue into your mouth. Only pulling away briefly to gasp in air before going back. After a while he pulls away to see your lidded eyes and already has a plan for what he’s going to do to you.

Whenever Mello and Matt aren’t busy pulling their own hair out over each other, they usually lie together, melting into each other's warm, comforting embrace. Mello refusing to allow Matt and himself air for too long. He craves this so deeply. As if it’ll fix everything that’s going wrong in the moment.
