Backstory or whatever it's long be ready;

June, 19 1987 - 0 to 17 yos ;

Born in Chamonix, France to a younger couple who lived slightly out of town in the mountains. They were a known hunting family and owned a small farm. They were evangelical christians. Raymond suffered various different types of abuse and neglect due to him being "difficult" (neurodivergent), and due to the fact that it was how he was parents were raised. Sometimes he was kicked out into the frozen snow with just his clothes and he has to survive the night.

He was pulled out of an elementary Christian school at year one after he was noted to play with boys and act "unlady like". From year two to seven he was homeschooled where he was taught from the Bible relentlessly. This is where he grew the fear of possibly being gay. He developed internalized homophobia. He was placed back into school after year seven.

This was where he met Ethan, a new friend who later helped him explore his queerness in a somewhat positive light; Ethan's family accepted Raymond.Ethan and Raymond developed their relationship throughout the years and grew romantic.

Winter - 1997 - 17yos:

Ethan and Raymond were home alone at Raymond's house. His parents were supposed to come home the next day after going to a town a bit away to visit family. Raymond stayed home to keep up with animals and chores. Ethan came over, and they hung out, and eventually got handsy and carried away.

Raymond's parents came home a day earlier than expected because the snow storm had made it impossible for them to visit the town. They caught Raymond and Ethan. Ethan was thrown out, and the beat Raymond, destroying his belongings and throwing them both outside into the snow. His parents were very against Ethan's parents accepting nature, and any relationships before marriage...

Raymond slept in the barn that night, and went to Ethan's family but was rejected due to the fact that Raymond's parents had threatened Ethan's family if they gave him shelter. They gave him money and he took the next bus ride to France. Where he applied and got accepted in the french military.

Summer - 1999 - 19 yos:

After Raymond passed boot camp, he decided to go into French Special Operations (He originally wanted and tried to be a dog handler). Where he trained from the next two to three years and excelled in long distance targeting and stalking. During training, his gun misfired while at rest, shooting him in the foot. Where the call sign, fish, was reinforced. He originally got it because before he joined, he had never swam, and because he was so still and quiet when sniping—like a dead fish. It stuck.

Spring - 2000 - 20 yos:

Right after finishing his special op training he was placed into a jointed mission with Sergeant Price. He admired him from a distance, but they both caught eachothers' eye.

2004 - 24 yos:

Raymond was recognized by many as a high value sniper and prompted a lieutenant.

2008 - 28 yos:

On a solo sniper mission; he was shot with a .50 Cal to the back of the knee. It completely shattered his knee and he had to get it replaced. He left service for a year and a half for physical therapy and recovery. He was prescribed medical marijuana.

2010 - 31 yos:

After returning to service, he was quickly promoted to Captain.

2012 - 33 yos:

Ethan was assigned to his taskforce, and the quickly rekindled their bond. Falling back into the first love feeling and romantic relationship.

2018 - 39 yos:

On leave they visited France once more, where Ethan proposed and Raymond happily accepted.

2020 - 40yos:

Major joint mission with Price. They were meant to capture Makarov (which would be a reason Price recognizes Makarov in mw2). Raymond was captured and held captive. He was hit in the back of his head after he found Ethan lifeless.

2020-2023 - 40 - 43 yos:

He was tortured by Makarov and held. Price didn't know he alive and he was assume he was dead a little after a year. Raymond was victim to extreme torture and later brainwashed to work under Makarov as he was too high value to kill so easily.

2023 - early 2024 - 43yos - 44yos:

He was snapped out of his false reality after noticing Price on the street on a stealth mission. He didn't tell Makarov he noticed him, and Price noticed him back. He slowly realized after a few weeks what had truly happened, and fought back. Killing as many people on base to get out, and he succeeded!

After he was on leave for mental reasons and had to go through therapy before he was allowed back into service (with a few favours from Price and Laswell).

He later got pregnant in a one night stand and has his daughter; Juliette 'Jewel' Poisson. The father did not want anything to do with them and revoked all child care rights.

Late 2025 - 45 yos:

Raymond rejoins the 141, having an awkward fit as he was filling in Soap's spot. He was loyal to his team especially Price; as he saw Price as saving his life. Owing his entire life to him.

2026 - 46yos:

Price and Raymond grow insanely closer. Raymond opened up slightly about his issues, trauma and trying to figure out how to be a good father. Which is where Price steps in to help him raise Juliette as much as possible.

Late 2026 - 2027 - 46 - 47 yos:

Price and Raymond grow more in their relationship, having a more romantic undertone. They eventually begin off and on dating.

2029 - 49yos:

Raymond and Price are engaged and officially in a relationship.
