Craig’s real mother headcanon.
This idea was in my head for a long time, and I finally decided to show this idea to others. So, let me present to you my headcanon of Craig’s parents and his real mother.
Warning! Angst! This is just my theory, which is not trying to be overly correct! Also, I’m non-native English speaker, so I’m sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes! Love you all!
To begin with let’s consider the appearance of the Craig’s family. His mother is blond haired and his father is ginger and their daughter is red haired. This topic has already been discussed many times, but I still can’t forget about it. The chance that a black-haired boy will be born in a bright-haired family is very small and this already raises suspicions.
The mood in the Tucker family is unreasonably harsh. Why can a family treat each other so indifferent? This is where the interesting part begins.
The fandom has already successfully proven that Craig is possibly Peruvian. However, Thomas does not look like a Peruvian, so doesn’t Laura, how could Craig have such roots?
We don’t know Thomas’ profession, however, in my assumption, the story was as follows. Thomas was sent on a business trip to Peru, where he worked on the space station for a while. There he met a woman with black hair, yellow eyes and a nasal voice, with whom he fell in love. They had a child, Craig, who looked like a mother and was calm like a father. Since the woman worked on the space station, and Craig loved his mother too much, he became involved in space and rocket science for the rest of his life.
Have you noticed that all the guys that Craig liked were mentally unstable? It’s not usual, rarely people are willing to put up with everyday tantrums, but Craig loves it and knows how to deal with it. According to my theory, Craig’s mother wasn’t mentally stable as well. Even before giving birth, she had mental problems, she was sharply hysterical, irritable, and psychiatrists diagnosed her schizophrenia. Her condition worsened every year, and Craig has been seeing Thomas calming his wife down every day. But a woman could rarely calm down so easily and the only one who could bring her to her senses was her son, Craig. And since that time Craig felt incredible pleasure and happiness when he managed to calm someone down (he constantly calms Tweek, when Kyle in TFBW began to hysteria, he also calmed him down).
However, Craig’s mother died when the boy was five years old. In order not to remember this, Thomas moved with Craig from Peru to the quiet city of Colorado - South Park, where he found a woman who also lost a loved one…her son.
In the episode «Tooth Fairy’s Tats 2000» (season 4, episode 1), we are shown a family with a child who is also sick. The boy is dying, and Laura, apparently after the death of her first son, divorced her husband.
Thomas and Laura, two broken hearts, had a baby - Trisha. However, the feeling of loss has forever remained in the hearts of all family members, and therefore they often have hard tension in the air. After all things that happened, Craig remained indifferent forever and from now on he loved everything only boring. All events became so traumatic that after all it became difficult for him to socialize.
Thus, Craig is not adopted, as the fandom believes (there even no orphanages in South Park). He had a mother and a happy family in Peru, however, nothing in the world lasts forever. He loves his stepmother Laura and his half-sister, but his heart will always have memories of how he and his mother sculpted a model of a space rocket. Craig’s heart will forever remain with her.
