If you met California, the first thing you see is the big fake smile on her face. Not that she’s in a bad mood, she’d just rather be at home watching a Quentin Tarantino movie, or flicking through one of her Reader’s Digest magazines. There are so many places she wants to visit, but she stays trapped between school and sitting at home. She can give you random facts about nothing in particular, but can’t give you the year the United States became a country. Callie’s not stupid, she just memorizes other things she finds important even if it isn’t to others. As far as people go, she has a stronger relationship with a character from a John Green novel, opposed to her friends in real life. She’s in this little word of her own, and has no interest in bringing anyone else in with her. As she goes further into her high school career, she’s trying her hardest to put herself out there, make memories with other people, and get closer with her friends. Quirks and all.
