I’m not gone, promise! Just really really busy these days! Currently moving out, my exams are in 2 weeks and a lot of other things.

And omg?? This new part was very much worth the wait!!!! I absolutely ADORED it, it’s perfect on every level

The slight variation to fit each one of them, the pacing of the events, reader’s reaction and stance on their treatment, all of it was so well done!!!

Also, the way you wrote reader being empathetic while still not forgiving their actions was perfect. It’s very realistic, especially the internal battles that we can feel reader going through even when not directly communicated

As I mentioned before, the balance of angst yet not too far as to be completely unredeemable is so perfectly executed and we can see it more in part 2

Overall, great job!! Part 2 was very well written, I enjoyed reading it sm

So glad to see you're back! fun fact, I was thinking about you while posting these two parts, so happy you like them!!

The guys are quite toxic in their own ways and Reader knows it. It's a difficult situation, but I wanted it to be realistic. They've clearly not forgotten and I'm not sure Reader will be able to move on from the whole incident, but that's up to the reader's interpretation in the end.

Honestly I was js really happy that I got a reply, same giddy feeling as tweeting about your fav and them seeing and replying.

And I’m glad I didn’t come off as nagging or pressuring, I completely understand why artists/writers hate those types of messages especially when they’re rude too, it can wear people down

Also you’re absolutely nailing it at the ‘slice of life’ aspect, it really does feel like scrolling through texts you’d actually come across on someone’s phone.

And as I mentioned before, you have the perfect amount of angst while keeping it realistic that I do see them coming back from their fuck up but it would take time/effort for forgiveness and I adore that

Sorry for the delay once again :(. 

I was first struggling with where I wanted this to go and how many parts I wanted to write. I enjoy writing long stories in the SMAU format but I do feel like people in general prefer shorter ones (?) (I don't know, pls tell me people). So yeah, didn’t want to drag out this one in the end. But a quick resolution would also be weird. (There is only one part left (Part 2) but normally I’ll leave it with an open ending. I might add another one though, depends on how Part 2 will be received). 

Plus, I have to fit this ‘event’ in the whole AU, so I wanted it to be quite ‘angsty’/toxic but not too much so that it is unforgivable. Also I don’t want to forget that these are soldiers, in their late 20s/30s. So it’s not always rainbows and flowers, faaaar from it. I also want to explore their toxic side/how their work can affect them in their daily lives (e.g. struggling to go shopping (too many people), to have intimacy, (to not be a little shite for Soap (kidding.)), etc). 

Thank you for the realistic comment btw! That’s what I’m aiming for. I really want to share a full, realistic and linear story, but only with texts. Kind of a slice of life thing? Very happy that it’s working!
