someone on tiktok mentioned they’re 24 and they’ve yet to be intimate with anyone romantically and someone commented and said that’s an awful situation to be in… like they were deadass serious lol y’all have got to stop shaming people for not having had the same experiences as you at a certain age. and that goes for everything in life. we all have different timelines. be respectful and understanding of that. and speak to people with love. help them if they don’t understand something that may come simple to you. answer their questions without making them feel less than. kindness goes such a long way.

Once, when I was laying in bed subconsciously addicted to misery, I looked outside, saw the sun, and realized I had other options

there will never be anything that compares to finding new pieces of yourself you didn’t even know you would discover. i think that’s a big part of life i’ve overlooked. not only will i grow up more and more but i will also meet more of myself. that’s terrifying but exciting and something to look forward to. maybe at 25 i’ll realize i love a certain food or at 30 i’ll want to learn to play piano or at 50 i’ll take an interest in scuba diving. i don’t know yet all of who i am but i really want to know more.

I've been an adult for a while now but I feel like I am still not over this change from childhood where taking a picture was a means to document a moment of happiness or joy to now in adulthood having to look at most of the pictures online of people posing and having the goal to look good. Like we document everything or at least there is this feeling like we should and it makes everything matter a little less (& sometimes you're not even there in the moment and feeling what you could feel because you're so busy capturing the moment. It's all so weird)
