RAAAAHHHHH 🦅🦅🦅🦅

So, I’m not really used to Tumblr as I haven’t actually used it in a long time, but here goes nothing.

I need help, cause I may wind up homeless in 4 months.

I (Black M/25) currently live with my partner (Non-Binary/26) at home with my Dad. Constant attempts to move out were thwarted first by the pandemic, then losing my job, and after that the rising rent prices where I live.

My partner moved in due to coming out to their family as non-binary, which sparked an entire fight that basically amounted to “We don’t get it.”,  “You’ll always be our daughter to us.”, and “Pronouns are too confusing.” until they spiraled into a meltdown, and needing to leave. (Their family had already packed up their stuff within 2 days of them staying at my place, so they were seemingly MORE than happy to do so.)

I’ve done what I can. Got a new, higher paying job, but as soon as I got that higher paying job, my Father decided to start charging me rent for about half of my monthly earnings, while constantly preaching how I need to get ready to leave. Any attempt to point out that it would be far easier to just SAVE the money he’s taking (He has a 6 figure salaried job with a Casino) is just met with long, empty and angry lectures about being responsible.

My partner, during this time frame, has done their best to help. They’re autistic, with brutal anxiety issues that, when they landed a job at gamestop, nearly made them pass out after several days of working through chest pains and nausea.

Bless his heart, my Dad is unfortunately another person who doesn’t really get what Mental health is, and refuses to. Constantly talking about how they need to “Toughen up” or “Get over it”. This is the same man who, barely a week after I’d admitted to a suicide attempt from back in high school, told me “Depression is overrated”.

Doesn’t help that I want to pursue my career in acting I guess, having to put money into casting sites is a blow that I didn’t realize would be a blow.

All of that’s to say, that this situation isn’t permanent, in fact, it now has a timer.

A little while ago, December 2022: My Dad was setting up to go on a trip to a family wedding, a trip he got plane tickets for, plane tickets for him, and me (my Partner to just be left at the house excluded for 4 days), between that, and an event I had already committed to, I told him I can’t go.

His response to this was to throw an entire angry rant about family at me, and then tell me I have till September to move out, resorting to an ultimatum because control is something he MUST have.

So, the deal is set like this: On September 1st, I’m gone, regardless of what happens between now and then. I managed to at least negotiate one caviat, any money I have in my savings, he will match it on that day. If I have 3 grand, he’ll front that much, ect, ect.

I need help because my car just cost me a thousand out of my savings, I’m not asking for a fortune, hell I barely know if anyone will see this. Just… Anything, anything helps.

I am very new to this whole “Admitting I’m in a shit situation, and asking for help” thing.
