Cain usually did most of his work in the workshop he had built in his backyard. Since he’d designed and constructed it himself, it was exactly how he wanted it, and typically he was able to find inspiration there when he needed to; it was his sanctuary. Part of the appeal of his workshop was the solitude, Cain struggled in large crowds, or even small ones, as he had a tendency to get overwhelmed and then retreat, but sometimes, like today, he was struggling with the newest escape he was trying to plan and he needed a change of scenery, so he went down to the nearest coffee shop to see if he could find some inspiration there.
It was busier than he was comfortable with, but he was here, so placed his order and looked around for a place to sit, but only saw one table with an opening and someone else was already sitting there. Cain debating just leaving, but he know Roman was expecting his ideas the next day, so he decided to ask. Approaching the table, Cain pulled out his phone and quickly typed up his question. “Hi. I’m sorry to bother you, but would you mind if I sat here? I won’t disrupt you, I just need a place to work.”
