At this point I have no plans to reimagine Prehistoria, mainly because I don't have enough information about it to make it to the extent that Harbinger Hotel, Helluva Comedy and Exposure Therapy.

Good question!!

I honestly think it needs a specification of overworked in general or overworked at the hotel specifically.

If the hotel then probably Niffty as she doesn't take breaks unless someone forces her to, often getting locked into a task until it's done then moving onto the next. Vaggie is a close second but at least at the point where we start in Harbinger she knows she does need to take breaks.

You're not asking too many questions, don't worry!!

Now first one, that one is a bit spoilery but I will say that Helsa, Seviathan and Charlie were and are under a lot of pressure to get along because of their parents and that is the cause of some of their friction.

Seviathan is already the more favoured child since he's older then Helsa, and even before they dated Seviathan got along with Charlie. In fact, while he's not the brightest, he's a lot more sociable then Helsa.

Again this gets into spoilers for their dynamic but there is more then just the typical Bully and Bullying Victim dynamic to Charlie and Helsa's relationship.

Alastor killed in life for enjoyment, it was basically a hobby for him, but still adhered to a moral code with his kills, never killing a person he didn't deem to deserve it.

And Sera isn't shown in either of these images. While she has been around since Eden it's more likely that she's younger then him since the only time she is depicted is with what we can assume are younger angels.

Yes, Sera is a Seraphim, a high ranking one at that, but there is no implication that she was involved with or even her being older then Lucifer. My personal theory is that both Sera and Emily are replacements for Lucifer. Sera in the position aspect and Emily in the personality aspect, and if this is true, combining this with the fact that Sera canonically feels guilty over Lucifer's fall.

I think it would lead to a more interesting story then just "Sera was the one to cast Lucifer out", because Sera could provide an outside perspective and her not being directly involved but a witness could fuel her motivation as to why she fears sinners so much and why she fears Emily being harmed or falling.

I will get into the class structure in a different post as I have been working hard on it and it has some more details then in canon, but for the culture specifically that's a different story. Both Sinner and Hellborn culture have the same idea of encouraging sin but where the Pentagram encourages unhealthy expression of sin and becoming worse, Hellborn culture is about the healthy expression of sin. There is also a big emphasis on education and performance, being in those are probably one of the most prestigious jobs you can have in hell.

I also want to present you with a question, if a culture is built around the idea of the place they live being a place of punishment for the worst of the worse, how do you think they'd treat the criminals of that society?

There is also the fact I'm keeping some canon aspects, like cheating being common and genuine romantic relationships in general being looked down upon. Especially by higher ranked demons. There is also a big emphasis on looking after your own, if you have a community, you need to fight for it. Hence why a lot of lower hellborn don't like the sins but love Charlie. The Sins have shown for millennia that they basically only care about themselves, even if that isn't true for some of them, meanwhile Charlie has spent most of her time in Royal court defending and providing solutions that help the entirety of hell that isn't just "the most extreme punishment for what fits the crime".

So here they are:

Harbinger Hotel AU Designs Redrawn

Least changed

These three are the ones I changed the least, mainly either proportions or a couple of colours. For ST. Peter, I changed his wing colour and halo for lore reasons. I'll get into this in a different post going over the hierarchy, but to put it simply, he's an archangel in my AU, and all archangels have unique halos and golden wings. For Niffty, I changed the colour of her casual dress and her skin; this one is a bit more complex. The reason I changed her design is that in my AU, if Lucifer were human, he'd be Chinese, and I thought that having two of the three east asian characters (Sir Pentious is wasian in my AU cause that's an HC I saw and loved), having porcelain white skin would be bad, and since Niffty wasn't originally designed with white skin or an inspiration like porcalain dolls in mind, changing her skin tone seemed reasonable to me. If someone asks me why I made this change to Lucifer, I will answer, but my reasoning is too long to put in this post about changed designs, so I'll leave it here.

For Valentino, his neck was too long, and I forgot to add his glasses the first time. That's it, after those two long reasons for the slight changes to the other two, I just find this funny.

Chaggi Redraws

For both, I changed a lot because I wasn't really happy with the original designs I did for them. Charlie's main changes are her hair, her horns, her eyes and her second outfits. I wanted her eyes to feel a bit unsettling, so I made them bigger, and they appear to have no pupil. Her second outfit also takes more from emo fashion cause I've said it once, and I'll say it again, the only thing Charlie grew out of was the teenage angst. I changed her hair because I felt like I was just being lazy the first time, so I looked up hairstyles black women do for inspiration. This is why I put Charlie's hair by itself cause I am so proud of her hair design, and I was not going to let it be hidden by the rest of her design.

For Vaggie, I changed her body type because I want to show that, while Vaggie has more development to go through, she has already progressed and healed a lot from being an exorcist, and one of my favourite tropes is a character gaining weight to show them healing. I changed her hair because the previous one didn't really fit. I also took inspiration from her pride merch design for her work outfit, and I took more inspiration from pirate attire for her casual outfit. I also gave her a moth sinner digues.

Hotel Member Redraws

I gave Alastor his fuck ass bob back while trying to keep his hair texture. I also gave him more red and completely removed the grey from his design. I originally designed Alastor when I was consuming other redesigns, and so many people made him grey or removed the red, but honestly? The red is a part of his character, so is the fuck ass bob, so I gave them back.

I was just...not happy with my original Pentious design, it was just so flat. So I completely redid it. I'm a lot happier with this design.

Cherri wasn't originally going to give Cherri a redraw since I was rather happy with her design, but then I listened to the song Viper by Derivakat and thought "I need to make her green". So I did. I wanted to lean into the idea of her wanting to be an Overlord, so her first design is more Overlord-esque in my opinion and the second one...just look closely and you'll why I changed it and guess when it shows up.

Velvette Redraw

Like Sir Pentious, her design felt flat to me. I also wanted to incorporate white as her main colour because I changed Valentino's colour to purple because of his season, so why not do the same with Velvette? I also changed her symbol from hearts to skulls because I think she deserves her own icon, Vox has electricity, Valentino has hearts, so why not give Velvette skulls? I changed her body too; she's gone from a fashion design doll to a plastic doll.

Angel Redraws

My original Sera design was boring; that's it. I changed basically nothing, and the more I looked at it, the more bland it felt. So with this one, I decided to look at other Sera designs and... why do so many of them make her look like Lilith? Anyway, I basically changed everything, and I'm so much happier with this design.

I will say, Lute's original uniform design is the basic exorcist uniform design; this new design is specifically a lieutenant's uniform. The wings on the side of her head are also consistent with being an exorcist angel. As for her hair...I didn't like her original hair, it needed more to it.

Anyway, that's it for the Redraws. I'm so happy to have the cast done with. I will likely move on to Helluva Comedy designs now, but I am so glad I committed to this. This has been such a fun experience and I feel like my art has really improved.

Do I think that Charlie will entertain the idea of breaking up with Vaggi to get her mum approval? Absolutely not. But I do think that with Vaggi's insecurities she might convince herself that's a possibility, especially after what we saw in S3 and the fact that Vaggi was willing to push aside what Charlie did during her spiral.

I share a name with Cherri. I don't care if it's no longer canon, I share a name with Cherri AND WE'RE BOTH AUSTRALIAN!!

Winners & Sinners

Ok so, I'm going to be honest, I'm not 100% on the designs for Molly and Arakniss but it's not to the point of adding details. Honestly I think I just need to redraw them a couple times to get the hang of their designs.

Other then that, here's some world building that you probably got from my Sir Pentious redesign. When becoming a Winner human souls take on the form they would be most comfortable in, usually that is their own human body, with maybe some alterations. So with Molly and Ms. Hartfelt (yes I'm introducing Alastors mom early in my au but that reasoning is for a separate post), they have a human appearance.

As for the sinner, for Arakniss I didn't really change much about his design and honestly I might revisit it at some point when he shows up in the show proper, other then that I guess you could say I made him look a bit fancier. As for Katie Killjoy my biggest critique for her is that one, she looks like she's related to Charlie, and two, not only is she a bug that she has no calls to in her design unless she gets angry but also she's a spider, a type of sinner we would see a lot of because of Angel Dust. So I changed her design to separate her from Charlie and I made her a praying mantis. As for Tom Trench I gave him a mask that resembles a ww1 gas mask more since that's when he supposedly died, along with giving him clothes that alluded to the time he's from.

Now for Crymini, even if she isn't going to be a part of the show proper she is going to appear in my AU, specifically in Vol 3. So there will be a wait to see her. As for her design, I changed the shade of pink she was for multiple reason, one being a spoiler, but fundamentally the pink she has in her original design is a part of the big case of Viv overusing the same shades of colours in her designs. Her outfit on the other hand I wanted to feel more punk, same with her hair. I don't know if I succeeded on that front but I think she turned out rather cute. Also for story reasons I have changed her age from 18-19 to 16, again for story and a theory I have is that Loona from Helluva is likely largely based on Crymini.

The Morningstar Family

These are probably the designs I've planned the most for, so let's get into them.

For Keekee I added the rings because I wanted her to basically have a key chain. Other then that I largely kept her design, along with Razzle and Dazzle the same. Due to that I will provide some fun facts about them, Razzle and Dazzle where initially plushies gifted to her by Satan, later on Charlie gave them life so she wouldn't be so lonely and Lucifer then granted them power (their big dragon forms) in order to have people constantly protecting Charlie. Keekee on the other hand was purely created by Charlie when she moved to the Pentagram, she took the master key to all her families properties and created Keekee with it in order to have a quick method of transportation between estates. Keekee ended up being not only a pet but an assistant and guard as Charlie can ofter send her to other properties to retrieve something.

So, what about Lilith and Lucifer? For Lucifer I wanted to add more bird features to him along with making him more kingly while keeping the circus aesthetic. I also wanted the snake on Lucifer's hat to be in his design as I personally like the idea that a fallen angels halo comes alive as a part of the process of becoming fallen. For Lilith, as you can see, I made her black. This is mainly because I don't like the fact that her, Adam and likely Eve are white, I understand that this is a common perception of then, I just think it's a missed opportunity. However I wanted to keep the fact that both Lilith and Lucifer have duck tail haircuts the same, hence the change in her horns.

AND WILL YOU SHOW HELLUVA COMEDY DESIGN AFTER ALL HARBINGER HOTEL DESIGN SHOW OR BEFORE ALL HARBINGER HOTEL DESIGN BE SHOW

This is honestly something I really wanted to talk about!! A big thing with Harbinger!Charlie that feeds into her relationships, especially with Vaggie, is that I want readers to feel like we're actually picking up in the middle of her story and a part of how I do this is Charlie is very conscious of her social standing in a very classist society.

She still messes up sure, but when it comes to her classism specifically she encourages people to hold her accountable. She prides herself in being different from her family, it's why she's kind, it's why she's a pacifist, it why she tries so hard to not loose her temper. Again, she has been the only royal actively trying to deal with the issues other royals and nobals cause.

It also feeds into the differences I want to show between Hellborn society and sinner society. Cause while Charlie has spent around 70 years actively cultivating people's respect for her in hellborn society, a big part that helped her was her nepotism, as initially a lot of lower class hellborn still feared her, as much as she did work for her image she still relied on her privilege, and that privilege, that image of perfection, stopped her from forming genuine connections.

Which is why she both loves and struggles with Sinners, because they don't care that she's the princess of hell. The Pentagram is lawless, the only thing that matters is power and ruthlessness in terms of its hierarchy, which is things Charlie has taught herself is bad and she shouldn't use them. Not to mention, they don't treat her differently then any other sinner, which on one hand is good because now she can actually have friends outside of her family, but bad because this leads to them expecting Charlie to know and understand things that she doesn't because she has never been human and this leads her to actually having to prove she's a good leader.

As much as the Vees would lead you to think otherwise, Charlie can't rely on her nepotism here because sinners see her as Lucifer's daughter. Not Lilith's. She has to prove herself, she has to grow and get out of her comfort zone if she actually wants to helps Sinners.

To add onto this I want to compare her to what I am doing with Emily. Eventually the arc we see Emily go through with her ignorance, like giving gift baskets as a first step towards apologising for genocide. Is basically what Charlie went through in highschool.

Essentially Charlie is ignorant because she doesn't have experience with people in general, not because she's unaware of her privilege. She more hyperaware of it if anything.

As for the Helluva Comedy designs they will likely start coming out after I finish Harbinger designs and start writing the prolonge. I've already started putting them into categories and omg am I excited because fundamentally, it feels like there are less characters to do.

Your telling me that you want me to help with an angelic nuclear bomb powered by the second strongest being in creation when I'm at the weakest I've ever been in my time it hell? With the thing I use to channel my power broken? The thing you have previously refused to fix?

My evidence?

Listen, I've seen this be used as shipping fuel for radioapple and then those same shipper turn around and shit on Charlie. Like it's not possible that Charlie was the one to ask her dad to keep Alastor's radio studio as either a memorial to him or because she thought he was alive.

Again, at the point of the finale, Charlie and Niffty would likely be the only two characters at the hotel to actually mourn Alastor if he did die. This isn't even a critique of the rest of the cast either, Alastor actively antagonised most of the main cast most of the time. It makes sense that they wouldn't be concerned about him.

And my evidence to why this wasn't just Alastor tacking on his radio tower post the new hotel being built is this:

While Alastor does have style he is not above just tacking his studio onto a building with zero regard on if it looks nice.
