My ultimate film watchlist (2010s)
1930s-1940s | 1950s | 1960s-1970s | 1980s | 1990s | 2000s
Welcome to the final part of my ultimate film watchlist! If you haven't familiarized yourself with the intro of the first part, please see it under the 1930s-1940s link above. Otherwise, we'll jump into the next list, of which I've seen many movies, and intend to watch even more. Enjoy, and as always, let me know if anything should be added to this list.
My ultimate film watchlist (2000s)
1930s-1940s | 1950s | 1960s-1970s | 1980s | 1990s | 2010s
Welcome to part 6 of my ultimate film watchlist. This list will consist of a lot of my favorites from childhood that I want to rewatch, as well as movies that I was much too young to watch at the time. Sometimes that didn't stop my mom from letting me sit in the living room with her while she watched them. I usually played or did my homework during these times, and was told to look away if she knew an innapropriate part of a movie was coming up. I was just happy to be with her.
Enjoy this list, and as always, please let me know if I'm missing any major film and I will gladly add it to the list!
My ultimate film watchlist (1990s)
1930s-1940s | 1950s | 1960s-1970s | 1980s | 2000s | 2010s
Welcome to part five of my ultimate film watchlist! Please see the link to part one under 1930s-1940s to get the full explanation of the list. Otherwise, welcome to what is most likely your childhood, as well as mine.
P.S. I thought the 50s and the 80s were long, but get a load of this one. It's crazy. I can only imagine the 2000s list next.
I was born in 1999, and grew up in the 2000s-2010s. However, I was lucky enough to have a brother who is six years older than me, and a young mom (may she rest in peace), so I got to experience a lot of 90s things as well just as remnants of his childhood. I may be a little bit pickier here and leaving things out solely because I know they're not my target demographic. But again, if you have a film that you think should be on the list, please let me know! I'm happy to add your favorites (or least favorites) to round out everyone's experience!
My ultimate film watchlist (1980s)
1930s-1940s | 1950s | 1960s-1970s | 1990s | 2000s | 2010s
Hello! This is part four of my ultimate film watchlist. To get the full explanation, please see part one until the 1930s-1940s link above. I assume you know what's going on by this point, so let's move on to the list!
The 80s holds a special place in my heart for films, tv, fashion, and beauty. The 80s definitely rivals that of the 50s in terms of quality of writing and filmography. I don't know where I would be if my mom had not been watching Dirty Dancing on our big tv when Patrick Swayze passed away. I don't think I would be so into films the way I am now. Please let me know if you think anything should be added to this list!
Also, I feel it should be said, I have not checked every single film for being soft-core pornography, so please be sure to look at reviews before watching any lesser-known films just to be sure it's appropriate for your viewing experience! If anything is seriously inappropriate, please let me know and I will add a warning or remove it from the list <3
My ultimate film watchlist (1960s-1970s)
1930s-1940s | 1950s | 1980s | 1990s | 2000s | 2010s
Welcome to part three of my personal ultimate film watchlist! For an explanation, please see part one listed under the 1930s-1940s tab. Otherwise, let's get on with the list!
To preface, this is probably going to be one of the shorter installments in this series, solely because some years release banger after banger, and others end with little excitement in the industry. I'm sure there were reasons for this outside of just the studios. I'm also no well-versed, nor entirely interested in films from these decades, as this is when both soft-core, and full-on pornography became a lot more common. There are some suspicious films in this list that I want to watch primarily for the historical context it provides to the era, however there's no guarantee I'll finish them. Some film discriptions are also very vague during this era, so be sure to look up reviews before watching lesser-known films!

My ultimate film watchlist (1950s)
1930s-1940s | 1960s-1970s | 1980s | 1990s | 2000s | 2010s
I’m particularly in love with film, fashion, and the beauty of the 1950s. I hope that also goes to say that I don’t agree with the negative politics surrounding the decade. As stated in part one, holiday films may appear on multiple lists, as I love holidays and want to watch major films during those times of year as well. Please let me know if I’m ever missing any cult classics as well! I’m always open to add on :)
My ultimate film watchlist (1930s-1940s)
1950s | 1960s-1970s | 1980s | 1990s | 2000s | 2010s
Welcome to part one of my ultimate film watchlist! This list is a compilation of all of the films, whether short or long, that I hope to watch one day. I add films I have already watched to the list, as well as how I liked them with a very simple code below. As you start to make it to the last 40ish years (as of 2023) you will notice I haven't watched a lot of common films the 90s and 2000s kids watched. That's because I watched the High School Musical and Barbie movies religiously as a child and basically nothing else. Outside of those, I hated movies and rarely wanted to go out to see a movie as a child, or even sit with the family to watch movies. So I am currently going through my list, and I imagine a lot of the PG and PG-13 movies will get hit in a few years when I have my own children.
Anyways, that's enough of that. Enjoy the list, and let me know if I should add anything!
P.S. Some films may be doubled in my holiday list as well! That list will be linked above with every major holiday movie I would like to watch. That does not necessarily include just Christmas/cozy winter movies, but other holidays too.
P.S.S. I struggle to watch films from these decades, and really can’t watch anything from earlier than the 1930 due to a lot of films having limited soundtracks, if any at all. Just personal preferences that I would be shocked to hear are uncommon. I would love recommendations for this post in particular though!
