About the Hendery issue I wanna speak my thoughts on it.

I'm a poc and living in Asia and I simply wanna give my point of view as an Asian from here. First thing, why are people jumping into conclusions without solid evidence?

Personally it has two ways with what his intentions on posting that picture. He may have find it looked kinda silly on him and just wanna share how funny it looked on him, OR, he wanna mock black culture. And as an idol, I'm pretty sure it was the later (why have fans turn against you?)

Here's reasons why I don't think he's purposely mocking black culture:

1. His caption is not clear insult to mock other cultures. It can be taken positive or negative.

2. Even if he insulted, why did he took down the post quickly afterwards?

3. CA doesn't exist in Asia so no one here understands why wearing another culture's dress can be considered "wrong", more so if they don't speak english to learn about it. CA comes from the western world.

4. The wig he wears is actually a Rastafarian hat from Jamaica and it's actually sold to tourist. So why wouldn't non Jamaicans would not wear the hat if it was sold to them?

5. The video OP posted is not a good source to judge him immediately. Because 1. OP mute their voice so it's unsure if they actually said what was captioned 2. His voice was not clear on his response. 3. Being in a room full of staff is not easy to make an apology as serious as that.

So my conclusion is to only make the final judgement once everything is cleared. Otherwise, it is not a clear case. I also it's important to think in another's culture point of view in this rather than your own lense only and find a common understanding.

But I tried to find a few things that could maybe explain what he did and things are viewed there. Because I thought that he probably didn’t realize it.

I looked at the demographics for Macau and Beijing where he studied the results aren’t for this year but by estimate things didn’t change by much. China has in general a low number of foreigners living there compared to Chinese population. And most of them are other Asian people.
