I need a quit vent and I need some advice on what to do… so I’m in marching band. I love band I love marching. But my band I don’t like my band the band kids are so mean and so quick to judge even when the band teacher tells them not too. The reason my band is filled with shit talk about me and other people is because “they don’t know you yet so they talk shit” and it’s just so crazy me to. Genuinely, I’ve had people lie to my face and say “people were talking shit about your marching saying it sucks” all the people who used to be so sweet are now judging my every move. I understand being serious but they are serious to the point of they are being complete assholes. And honestly I think my hand teacher thinks I’m weird and annoying too. I feel like there is no place for me. I feel genuinely singled out. I feel like people are only asking if I’m ok is because they are our section leaders and they have too. They say we’re a “band family” but this does not feel like a family it feels like a competition and i genuinely wanna go to a different highschool, go to a different band so I don’t have to feel so alone all the time… thank you for listening If you did.
