“Not even the slightest bit interested, I’m not a believer in psychics and let’s have a nice conversation don’t make me drag ZBZ about what I think about your “Halloween” party.”

“You seem to be the one getting worked up here, Scott. But, hey, if you really wanna drag each other’s houses, do it ‘cause I have a lot to say about Kappa, too.”

Reaghan couldn’t help herself but laugh. “ Are you serious right now? What’s money got to do with anything? You lookin’ to get paid for a night out with him or something? ”

“Uh, duh! Like what if the date sucks completely? At least you’ll go back home with money and zero regrets that you wasted your time. Life hacks, girl.” 

“Did you have an Instagram account? Well I didn’t know that since I’ve never followed you.”

“God, that’s tragic. How’s it like having a dull timeline full of knitting pattern videos and pictures of your boyfriend?” 

“I don’t believe in horoscopes either.” Hugh laughed. “But alright, i’ll give it a try. It could be fun.”

“Really? You don’t even read them weekly for the laughs and to see if anything adds up to your current life?” Christina questioned. “Anyway, what’s Kappa been up to lately? Not that I’m really interested.”

“Of course I don’t.” Magnolia shrugged. “I am too busy for social media Christina. I have better things to do than taking selfies or stalking people on social media.”

“Oh, that’s so? Your Instagram and Twitter say otherwise, though. I mean, that could’ve changed ever since I unmuted you from both about a month ago. No offense, obviously -- I just need better content on my timelines.”

“They do it a few times every year. Mom says she’s a celebrity fortune teller… rumor has it she told exactly  when Joan Rivers was going to die and she also called Bruce Jenner’s transformation, I don’t know…” Adrian shrugged as he laughed. “I have no doubt about that. I know the reputation of Zeta’s.” He laughed. “I… uhm… it’s Adrian actually.” He said with a smile. He didn’t expect the president of ZBZ to know his name anyway. It was how things were back in NY, too. Adrian had always been on the top of the social ladder because of the status of his family, but things were a little different in Greek Row.

“What... she did? No way! -- But, wait, but you said a celebrity fortune teller? That must cost a lot. Do you have connections or something?” Christina inquired, her mouth agape to match her surprise. There was no doubt that her interest was becoming merely monetary, a fact she would try to conceal. “Well, I hope everything you’ve heard is positive. We’re probably the least problematic around campus.” Her head bobbed into a nod as she smiled. “Oh, Adrian! Right. Sorry, I just have so much in my head right now.” Christina lied. She found it hard to remember names of those she didn’t find interesting or useful. “You’re a Lambda, right?”

“I haven’t. Can’t say I believe in those kinda things.“

“Why not? Look, it’s kinda like horoscopes, but more fun. Don’t knock it ‘til you try it, they say.”

“What the hell is this, Christina. You sound like you were paid to say that. Scripted and all.”

“Damn it, Charlotte. Why do you always have to expose me? Now that you mention it, though, I wish I was paid to tell you this. Anyway, you’ll still come, right?”

“Of course you use that application. Pathetic.”

“Don’t you use it? Oh, right, you’re probably still stuck on MySpace. You really need to keep up with the present, Morticia.”

“You don’t actually believe in fortune tellers. do you? They are about as big of scam artists as those guys in that TV show that run around old locations and ‘talk to ghosts’. Come on,  Christina.”

“Don’t you? Listen, some are really spot on with their predictions! But, whatever, I mostly want her around to give the house a mysterious element and for guests to have something fun to interact with, y’know? You should still come around, Ry. Support your ‘sister’ house.”

I’m pretty sure I got my shit together already. Thanks, but no thanks.
