- [ ✖ ] --- This whole ruse was becoming exceedingly annoying as time went on. At first he thought he could humor her ( Sombra was all over at the best of times ) but the restless itch wouldn’t leave. Rowdy noise only expediting his piss poor mood --- sooner rather then later he’d snap. 

Growling at the machine didn’t help, what did he expect.

Another fucking caffeinated concoction later ( slammed on the counter ) gaze a piercing red --- surveying those loitering at the other end. Annoying.

- [ ✖ ] --- He often found himself people watching ( “coffee shop front” --- Sombra’s idea --- was fine and dandy, except he didn’t have any weapons ) as a way to pass time. To learn. It was, as always, utterly boring. 

Quickly growing tired of this place.

Where he walked, shadows followed. Gently clinging as he passes. Perhaps he could start some of his own mayhem ( his own entertainment ) with the annoyingly plain surroundings. Nothing quite as fun as a little destruction. Quietly mulling it over --- sharp gaze following the foot traffic. 

“i received a call from a concerned citizen.” 

sparrow was a well-earned alias, for he was perched high above upon the streetlight as a lookout post. genji sat in a crouched position with forearms lazily resting over his knees. a dim glow emanated from his visor as his whereabouts were revealed, head tilting as the rest of his body flickered and lit up with ease. 

no reason to hide anymore. though he was sure the reaper knew of his presence a long, long time ago. 

“something about a tall man, wandering around the block in a dark coat. he wore a mask. you cannot miss it.”

“you would not happen to know who they are speaking of… would you?”

- [ ✖ ] --- Of the many things he could be called, Reaper was far from stupid. He took pleasure in a good hunt a good kill. For all intents and purposes he was a being of shadow --- what better way to feed ( no ones soul completely innocent ). Bright days spent hiding away from the masses.

It was at night the monsters came out to play.

He had certainly not expected the cyborgs presence within the city ( the gamer next door already testing his patience ). He would recognize the flicker of Genji’s essence, though uninclined to believe it true --- how long spent working together before it all went sour. Thoughtful hum to himself at the other’s words. Those curious green lights glowing faintly in the dark as he watched on.

Oh great, as if her day wasn’t bad enough already. First, she wound up in this weird place with no idea how she ended up here in the first place. Second, her mech was nowhere to be found and she didn’t even know where to start looking and now… she apparently had to live next to him.

A familiar face was a familiar face, after all and even though the tiniest part of her felt somewhat relieved to see someone she recognised… she’d much rather it be someone else.

“What are you doing here?” She demanded, arms crossing over her chest as she confronted her new neighbour. Can she move out now? This was not her idea of a good time.

- [ ✖ ] --- Drifting down the hallway ( silent --- no footsteps or swishing clothing ) as shadows clung to the walls. Pity this place was so bright. Greater pity he was here in the first place.

He was in no rush.

The turn down his hall quickly appearing as another headache. Frown hidden as eyes locked onto the young brunet --- standing much to close to his own room. Wonderful.

What’s a girl to do when she runs a coffee shop as a front with her team from back home? Actually serve coffee? Nah. Instead, upon her arrival through the back door, she hacks any machine that houses liquid, be they hot or cold, and forces them to spray their contents directly at Reaper all at once.

❝ Buenos días, Gabe. You’re looking…refreshed today. ❞ And she can’t help the giggle that escapes her as she sits herself on the counter.

- [ ✖ ] --- The sound of gurgling, spitting, churning coffee is enough to make a sour mood even more so. Body language screaming that of someone royally pissed off ( but, when was he not these days ). Most would say that, all things considering, this wasn’t a bad outcome. Wrong. This was a horrible outcome.

First had come the sheep ( sheep --- literal sheep ), then his lovely neighbor, now this. If he hadn’t thought himself cursed before, well... he would certainly think so now.

He was starting to despise coffee.

Sombra’s entrance was hard to miss. Seething as the machine backfired --- covering his front, the floor. Hiss escaping as he purposefully does not return the greeting. Muffled die aimed in her direction.
