The Michele Dufault Endowment for Yale Women in Science was established last week in honor of Michele Dufault, a Yale College senior who passed away after a tragic accident at Sterling Chemistry Laboratory in 2011. Michelle was a double major in physics and astronomy, an accomplished saxophonist, a mentor and a friend to many. The $14 million fund is a testament to the unanimous certainty amongst her professors, colleagues and friends that that her gifts and contributions in science, technology, and innovation would have changed the world.
