so thats actually what queerbaiting is..! they have 3 canon queer characters and they HEAVILY imply that one of those characters and another guy in the show are meant to be a couple at the end of the series is actually just the definition of queerbaiting! also one of the coming out plots was basicly js straight up homophobic whyre we even acknowledging it

They didn't heavily imply shit. There was never any indication that Mike had romantic feelings for anyone other than El. You got caught up in fandom shipping hype and wishful thinking, which is understandable, but it's not queerbait if you did it to yourself.

if you think that mike has like actually has romantic feelings that are genuine and true towards el i dont think we actually are talking about the same character. I also can assure you that i joined the fandom shipping hype around last year but ive been a big shipper + analyzer of byler ever since 2022 i didnt do anything to myself i only said things that were laid infront of me inside the show

conformitygate is only possible with byler happening like i thought it was common knowledge. without byler it would be just the shitty ending we saw on new year's eve.

biggest fear is probably conformitygate happening but then making mileven endgame. truly the most terrifying thing.
