one-eyed.  he  gave  one  of  his  eyes  to  his  sisters,  the  fates,  in  a  successful  bid  to  lessen  his  incapacitating  visions.  this  also  gave  the  fates  greater  context  and  information  as  they  went  about  their  work,  though  they  do  still  need  moros  to  decode  some  of  what  they  see.

long-haired.  for  particularly  tragic  individuals,  a  strand  of  moros'  hair  is  woven  into  their  thread  of  life,  marking  them  as  doom-touched  for  the  duration  of  their  life  in  the  mortal  realm.  unfortunately  for  the  doomed  individual,  this  does  not  necessarily  equal  a  short  life.  because  his  hair  serves  this  function,  he  can't  cut  it  or  trim  it;  so  the  antlers  are,  in  part,  to  help  keep  it  out  of  his  face. 

hart-mounted.  though  moros  has  a  place  in  biblical  tales  alongside  thanatos  as  being  a  rider  of  the  pale  horse,  he  actually  has  a  silver  stag  as  his  chosen  mount.  the  creature  was  a  gift  from  thanatos  to  moros,  and  is  made  of  a  combination  of  bone  and  ancient  deer  shades.  moros  uses  his  mount  to  convey  that  his  presence  is  not  in  an  official  capacity;  he  appears  without  it  when  he  must  enact  his  purpose.  the  stag  is  named  argyros,  meaning  “silver”  due  to  his  coloring. 

secret-sworn.  moros  has  seen  a  great  many  tragedies  befall  his  family  before  anyone  could  stop  it.  thanatos'  capture,  charon's  death,  hypnos'  unmaking(s),  nemesis'  loss,  etc.  -  all  plain  as  anything  to  moros.  he  said  nothing  because  it  would  not  have  mattered;  what  he  sees  will  come  to  pass.  avoiding  it  only  makes  life  more  painful.
