ma jeunesse ne fut quāun tĆ©nĆ©breux orage, traversĆ© çà et lĆ par de brillants soleils (c) charles baudelaire I keep posting my old art
twitter: himcot telegram: himcot
the assurance "nobody is judging you" is straight up false... people ARE judging you and you have to find a way to be ok w it
My methods as someone with schizotypal (feeling of constantly being judged disorder)
1. Even if you do something embarrassing AND someone judges you AND talks about it to others, you really haven't done anything but improve their life. People like bonding over interesting stories. If I'm at the mall and I look strange or act weird, people at best don't care and at worst have a little story to tell their friends.
2. Talking about people is part of life. You probably have done it to others. What comes out of people's mouths when you're out of the room doesn't necessarily reflect their true feelings. Getting words out of your head can be how you check if they're true. Many people might say something mean so they can come to a more neutral understanding. We often think "said behind my back = true feelings" but it isn't true.
3. If someone is actually consistently talking behind your back in a cruel, mean way and being two-faced to you, that's actually them being in the wrong. You aren't responsible for that. You don't have to burden yourself worrying that you're doing something that would make someone act this way. You can operate as though everyone is being upfront and honest and not make concessions for passive aggression.
4. If you talk behind people's backs a lot and operate in a judgemental way to others, try cutting back on that behavior. It honestly helps you feel less scared of others talking about you.
5. If your friend group talks a lot behind people's backs and judges or harasses others for fun, try to discourage that behavior or step away. Seeing people obsess over others isn't good for your health, and those people's behavior isn't normal. Same with hanging out on dramamill websites etc.
6. If you actually concretely find people actually talking behind your back a lot, analyze why. It could be that it's bullying, but it could also be that people don't feel safe telling you their feelings. Think about how you treat others.
7. There's always a risk of being judged and hurt by others, but the rumination on the possibility of it being the case is going to hurt you. The goal should be to live life in the moment and deal with cruelty when it actually emerges. Constantly being on guard for tragedy doesn't actually make it any easier, it just makes you really tired.
Oh, also 8. Imagining a scenario where people are judging you or talking about you behind your back doesn't make it true. You will think "obviously but it can actually be very hard to tell that it isn't true. You start judging people for what you assume they're judging you for. The hard thing is you really can't know what people are talking about, even if they are talking. You can't read anyone's mind, and you have no knowledge of their life when you can't observe it. This is hard to accept, but freeing once you absorb it.
My Museum of Failures as a girl that is going to med school this year!š©ŗ
Got the idea from @rain-is-studying š
I was failing chemistry 3 years in a row (9th to 11th grade) here's proof lol
A chemistry teacher told me to forget about getting into med school because of my lack of knowledge š¤”
I got incredibly low grades on the first med school entrance exams
I was so bad at chemistry I didn't know where tf to even start
I barely passed Modul 4- Evolution in biology class
I wanted to give up like a thousand times š¤
Moral of the story:
Hard work pays off! Never listen to what others may say and do not get discouraged by your current situation!
YOU GOT THIS! š¤
from impossible to difficult to unfamiliar to familiar to easy to automatic
come up with hand positions to do for each step and then you can repeat this one silently, by the way. to cheer yourself up in the library without talking out loud
i am not a very good artist but you get the general idea

š. study day by day ( šŖ“ )
i am a big procrastinator and when it comes to exams, too often i have left it to the last minute and pulled all-nighters to get high grades, but due to the spanish school system, which includes many more partial exams and midterms than italy (actually there aren't any in italy at all) i will be "forced" to change this tendency of mine, the goal is to study the lessons on the very same day so as to have a greater margin for revision that will allow me to secure my knowledge.
š®. allow time to rest/recharge ( š )
i once read a sentence: "if you have two minutes to do something, it will take you two minutes, but if you have two hours, it will take you the whole two hours". concentrating for a few hours a day, but in an effective and meaningful way is perhaps my biggest dream, this year i will do my best to limit the hours of study and dedicate time to rest and tourist activities that my year in spain will reserve for me (parties and hangouts included).
šÆ. learning a new language ( ā )
i don't speak spanish at all, but i understand it very well. studying and living here for a whole year will definitely help me develop my linguistic/grammatical knowledge to start a deeper study of the language. the more languages āāyou know, the better.
š°. get out of my comfort zone ( š¦ )
as an introvert, i often find myself, especially during stressful times, retreating to my room, wrapped in the comfort of my favorite books and series. the real challenge will be to abandon the safe place for the unknown and finally embrace the idea that the unknown is beautiful, that it has breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and that any scars that might come from it are as precious as diamonds.
š±. being proud of myself ( š )
realizing that i'm doing well, that the me from a year ago who was afraid of failing the university entrance exam has not only now completed her first year of architecture with excellent results, but now lives alone in a foreign country. a year ago i would never have believed it, so i should be proud of it, and not fear that i'm not enough. there is a lot to improve, but celebrating victories is equally important as aiming for the top.

ā set a consistent wake-up time. gradually adjust if needed.
ā start your day with a glass of water to rehydrate. hydration is crucial for a clear mind.

tricking yourself into doing tasks that make you nervous
you know the situations. when you get wrapped up overthinking and suddenly, this seemingly easy task seems horrible and daunting. here are some tips to help you trick your brain into completing the action.
visualise success. imagine how good it will feel once the task is completed. this can boost your motivation and reduce anxiety.
pair the task with an enjoyable activity - for example listening to your favourite music or having a nice cup of coffee while working.
promise yourself a reward for completing the task. it could be something small like a treat or a break to do something you enjoy.
tell yourself that you're just excited. you're challenging yourself. this positive gaslighting will help you feel more positive about your nervous energy.

Hottest jjk characters
I think being a Geto fan in JJK really saved me a lot of disappointments, cause my man is dead I have no vested interest in the story bending for him to come back only a few small copes that I know are deeply unrealistic.
I wasted the first month of the semester watching anime and reading about gay men fucking
That's it, that's the school update
signs of self-sabotage, a.k.a. inner red flags š© (and my tips to fix them!)
š© you set up unmanageably big goals and short deadlines for yourself. (the fix: set up daily, small goals that are in accordance to your skills and possibilities instead of your desires.)
š© you beat yourself up whenever something goes wrong, and label yourself as a failure. (the fix: understand that the path of progress demands mistakes so that you can learn, adjust and level up, and that the only way you can fail is by stopping your work.)
š© you're constantly comparing yourself to the people around you, and expecting their opinion on you. (the fix: playing the protagonist role in your life doesn't mean performing for an audience, it means writing your own story for yourself. nobody is watching over you, unless you're inviting their gaze, and most people will try to bring you down rather than lift you up because they themselves are insecure and lost. you're risking placing your self-worth in the hands of losers.)
š© you complain about your life all the time. (the fix: you're alive, which means you're in charge of the endless project that is you. complaining is just self-pity, and your "poor me" mentality is an excuse you use to not put in effort and hard work.)
your life is your responsibility. your life doesn't "happen" to you, you're in charge whether you like it or not. if you're unsatisfied with your life, it's up to you to find out what you need to do to change it!
so useful š everyone needs to read this

I'm back in school.
*cheery music*
I'll be lying if I said I was happy or excited
But I'm glad I'm back and I'm really grateful
I'm sitting in the library on my phone bc my lesson got cancelled but anywhoo...
What happened last semester
Despite having a good start, the past semesters was almost as bad as my first semester. I lost morale and energy right towards the end
And while I expected to have to write 2 supplementary exams, I didn't. The marks where enough to carry me over but not really satisfying.
Throughout the semester I struggled with accepting and loving what I'm doing. I still am tbh
I saw this a couple of days ago on Facebook:
It helped soothe me a little because I chose what I'm doing for practical purposes and yk... Yeah.
Special thanks to @astro-noob you really helped more than I could ever tell you. Also I'm back!!
Plans for the semester
I may or may not achieve them
I want to reattempt the 100 days challenge. But I'll make it 50 so that it seems achievable at least. And I'll reconvene after the first 50 days. I might not be able to make daily updates but I'll do my best for weekly
I want to aim for 90% across the board. And put in effort that matches that. Yk the whole "Aim for the stars and land among your dreams", that's what I'm hoping will happen
I want to actually start loving Nursing. Atleast enough to become an efficient nurse.
I also want to try and open up a bit more and make a 1 friend atleast. Or an acquaintance or something pls it doesn't even matter if they do Nursing (it would be a bonus though). 2 years in this place and I've made new 1 acquaintance (sb I haven't went to school with previously)
Have something tangible I've done for myself by the end of the semester.
Work on myself, my confidence, appearance, self esteem, communication skills and just take a few more steps to being well rounded. Being shy and secluded isn't doing me any favours.
100 days of productivity update
Well...
I didn't manage to get through even half of the challenge, but it's not the first thing I've failed at this year so it's fine. Maybe I'll try again next semester.
Gloomy yap sesh
Truth is I'm tired mentally. And I've been like this for a really long time, it has just amped up to great heights recently
It sucks watching myself lose interest in absolutely everything. I don't have the energy to talk to my favorite people. I haven't touched a book in ages. Anime is starting to be a lil boring. I don't react to any Suguru content. I scroll past satosugu videos on TikTok like they're ads... It really breaks my heart because I want to be interested in all of these but I'm not and that's that.
To make things a little bit worse, I caught a cold so I feel extra crappy and I can't smell anything, which means bath time therapy won't work. And it's that time of the month so the hormones are doing their thing and I'm at my absolute lowest rn.
It's times like these I wish I had somewhere to escape to. If I had enough balls I'd ask my cousin or one of my aunts to let me visit them just for a week to get some air. But I have negative balls so here I am yapping on Tumblr while eating the most tasteless rice of my life.
When I made the decision to move back home I asked myself one simple question: Money or Mental Health. After a few weeks of pondering I decided to go the money route because I thought I was a strong little girl but boy was I wrong!
Did I save some money? Yes! absolutely but I'm in shambles right now even the voices are concerned
Every time I try to bounce back with The Power of Positivity⢠I get knocked down within an hour. I don't even want to bother anymore
"Why don't you talk to somebody" Idk, everybody has their own thing going on, big things as a matter of fact and me coming with my little issues might seem a little insulting to them.
Besides if I try talking to somebody around me they might:
Blank stare + I can't help you with this one
Say "that's bitch shit"
You're being dumb on purpose bc you know exactly what to do which is true but not necessarily simple
Do I feel better after this rant... Not necessarily
