From this latest update, there is a huge thing that just happened, and no one is talking about it:
Dark Enchantress Cookie F*cking Time Traveled.
I swear, I am not making this up! She really did and I have proof!
Ok. So, we all know how White Lily Cookie found the Faerie Kingdom, right? Basically, she came across Silverbell, helped treat his wounds and then he took her to Elder Faerie. Then she stopped the Great Calamity by re-sealing the Silver Tree.
The question that always bothered me about that whole debacle was this: who or what caused the Great Calamity?
At first (and I mentioned this in my Elder Faerie Post), I was certain that Dark Enchantress Cookie was not the culprit. The reason why I believed this was because it didn't make any sense. How could Dark Enchantress Cookie cause the Calamity before even being born?
Since White Lily only got the information about the Witch's Banquet after the Great Calamity was delt with, it would have been impossible for Dark Enchantress to do anything before that time.
If White Lily Cookie hadn't gone to the Faerie Kingdom in the first place, then she would have never learned about the Banquet. If she never went to the Banquet, then Dark Enchantress Cookie would have never been born.
Essentially, White Lily coming to the Faerie Kingdom, becoming a hero there, and finding the information she was looking for were all essential for the creation of Dark Enchantress Cookie. If just one step was missing, then we wouldn't have a Dark Enchantress Cookie at all.
You see what I'm saying? It all lines up too perfectly. If the Great Calamity had happened too soon before or too late after White Lily arrived in Beast Yeast, then she wouldn't have been in a position to help stop the Calamity. So, what does this mean?
That someone set off this disaster on purpose. And I'm not just talking about an attempt that was made and meant to succeed either. Someone caused the Great Calamity at just the right moment for White Lily to show up and save the day. The Calamity was supposed to fail.
And now, we know for sure that Dark Enchantress Cookie herself came to the Silver Tree in person. She admitted to it.
So, the question now becomes: How did she visit the Silver Tree and cause the Calamity before she was born?
Well in truth, there are two possibilities.
Possibility #1: Dark Enchantress Cookie herself Time Traveled. (Most Likely)
She either found some kind of Time-Traveling ritual, got her hands on some TBD technology, messed with Millenia Tree's power, or some other method. Whatever and however she did it, she picked the interval where Lily was close to the Faerie Kingdom, dropped in, and tore a hole in the Silver Tree causing the Great Calamity. Dark Enchantress also talks to the Beasts and makes a deal with them here as well. She takes the secret truth of the Silver Tree with her for later leverage too.
Possibility #2: Someone else Time-Traveled to the Kingdom Timeline to kick these events off. (Least Likely)
Now, I know I'm stretching it with this idea, but we have to consider this possibility as well. After all, the current loop goes as follows:
White Lily comes to Beast Yeast and stops the Calamity -> Lily finds out about the Witch's Banquet and goes -> Lily gets re-baked as Dark Enchantress Cookie -> Dark Enchantress Travels back in time to cause the Great Calamity just as Lily Arrives in Beast Yeast.
As you can see, this is clearly some form of Bootstrap Time Paradox where Dark Enchantress ensures her own existence by setting up the stage for Lily to go where she needs to go in order for Dark Enchantress Cookie to be born. However, this could have only come into existence if either a random event just happened to lead to the circumstances where this reality can and does exist, or someone kicked off the paradox from the outside.
If someone else from the outside did kick off the Bootstrap Paradox, then we need to know who did it and why.
My first guess would be First Egg Cookie, but maybe that's just me being a hater. I know next to nothing about that biscuit other than that she's a selfish prick with a tendency for messing with everyone. Her motives are unclear to me, so I have no idea if time-traveling to kick off a paradox that allows Dark Enchantress Cookie to exist would be something that she would actually do, sooo....
Other than that, I've got no idea. Maybe the culprit is Timekeeper Cookie who kicked off the Paradox for sh*ts and giggles. Maybe it's someone we haven't met yet.
